Hey all, I'm Norman
I'm planning on a Lord of the rings group for London expo May/Oct 2013 after a successful Meet in May and Oct 2012.
I though I would put it here to hopefully generate some more interest. The film The Hobbit hits the cinema in December 2012 and I think it would be a fantastic group to have going. If you are interested in joining the group and/or have some ideas of how this could run please get in contact. We do have a Group wall on Face Book which you can check out here.

You can of course dress as any of the book, film, or even your own characters. Don't limit yourself just to films!

It's a shame this isn't for October, as a friend and I are running a LOTR group for then.

But if this goes ahead I'm tracking you down for photos!

Sadly, its most likely that I can't make May otherwise I would be up for this.

I'm not sure I really want to wear Merry in the summer given how many layers are involved, but if I go to expo in May I'll consider it.

Nice if you can join in would be fantastic the group will probably roll in Oct if enough interest too. I personally can't do Oct currently. I believe the Emma from the group was planning on the Oct as well. I have my costume plans for Oct already sadly. This may change yet. Also if you guys know a few others who may be interested point them in this direction you can join the FB group too if you like. Would be able to talk about it there too

This will also give people the chance to make a few new friends which is always a good thing

Hey all am trying to get another group together for the May expo. We had a blast in October and was great to get to meet a few people with the same interest. And related cos plays. I have really enjoyed the last couple events and I am planning LOTR group again for one of the days during may expo.

If you have a prefernce to the costume you would like to do list it and I'll collate it and see who would be willing to come as who no issues on repeats either.

I can then start Putting names next to possible costumes.

I would love this to go ahead and be fantastic. If we get a suitable number of people cos playing maybe we could put together a battle scene or something along those lines.

I hope there will be several people joining us you can all check out the face book page too. I would like to promote the group a bit. Any ideas?

Not too sure how to promote it without being on the own events forums. I know my friends plan on doing The Hobbit Bilbo and my other friend is being The Tower of Barad-Dur. I want her to be on wheels so I can wheel her around haha!
