OK, well, for Auchinawa 2008, since it's not too far away to be carting something large, I want to make something a bit epic. Obviously, I'm pretty much gonna hafta start making it fairly soon if I want it done decently and in time (because I'm a procrastinator of the highest order). However, I'm having difficulty deciding whether I want to do Puppetmon (Digimon) or a Tentacle Monster.

Now, I think that the Tentacle Monster might be easier to do and it would be good practice for sewing lycra (my planned list involves a lot of spandex-ed superheroes/villians, mostly men...), but Puppetmon presents its own challenges (the very round head for a start) and I'd probably attempt some sort of squeaky mallet-thingy too for added awesome. Both would involve some opportunity for my favourite costuming element of having bits attached to various limbs with strings. I will eventually do both, but what to do first?

So, yeah, help please!

You're the Ariel cosplayer from Amecon aren't you I talked to you briefly before the masquerade (I was handing out chocolates) and you mentioned Puppetmon.

My vote goes that way ^_^ I think it would be a fantastic costume - challenging, but I've never seen it done and it would really make a lot of people feel nostalgic <3

Both are fun costumes though, if you got into character it would be awesome!

Yeah, you wanted to do Digimon cosplay too (TK?), so that would be cool to have a group for. I shall ask some other people's opinions too, but that'd be awesome.

I've just put two and two together and worked out who you are! (In a non-scary-stalker way, I assure you XD) Its so hard to keep track of people at cons when they wear so many different costumes!

I would adore you if you did Puppetmon, I've never seen anyone attempt him, and it'd be so awesome. I will cosplay Matt eventually (or make someone I know cosplay him) just for the fact that I had a crush on him for so long when I was younger (I dont care how sad that makes me sound, I have no shame in admitting that!)

So yes, although both ideas would be cool, he definately gets my vote!

Well, I was rather partial to Matt as well and I don't mind admitting it either. Although, more alarmingly, I did rather like Devimon too. lol.

Well, Puppetmon seems to be winning atm. I've asked other people elsewhere too and he seems to be quite popular (and here I thought I was the only one wot liked the deranged little marionette). As I say, I will eventually do both, 'tis just a matter of time.
