Sock Glue
My Rinoa arm-warmers are slightly big and slip down my arms occassionally. Instead of attempting to adjust them someone suggested sock glue to me like what Japanese school girls use to keep their knee-highs up.

I've done a quick search on google & ebay and found some for sale (mainly marketed towards Irish dancers it seems which is interesting as I've been thinking of getting lessons!) but I'm just concerned as I can't see anywhere if it's suitable to use on sweater knit wool fabric. I really don't wish to risk ruining my costume so does anyone know if it will be okay?

I imagine it would be okay on the fabric.

If you're a bit iffy though, you could always use double sided sticky tape, if you don't mind having tap stuck to your arm all day.

.... That's what she's found. What she's asking is whether it would cause any damage to the fabric of her costume. .___.

Sock glue is the king of all!

It is also water soluble and washes out of fabric easily.

It is my life-saver...I'd have so many slipped-off shoulders and falling down stockings without it!

Everyone should own a bottle! <3

That the case for all fabric? Including delicates like knit wool & silk?

Ok.... am I using sock glue wrong? I apply the glue to my skin directly, let it dry then put my socks over them. That way you just have a latex patch stuck to your skin so the fabric you put over it won't slip. So in short, it will not damage the fabric because it won't actually stick to it. Alternatively, when I run out of sock glue, i use liquid latex!

Thanks for the replies. Just decided to go ahead and try so I've ordered some now. I mean I doubt it could do much damage if any... the ingredients don't look majorly harmful.
