I'm a Doncaster dweller and even after my pained efforts, I feel virtually alone up here trying to find some cosplayers and conventions that are even remotely close to me. D:
Sux 'cuz that means I don't have any photo chances or group meetups. >n< So I'm starting up a search of doom for anyone close by to natter to..
Hopefully when I go to University I can move a bit closer to all the crazy cosplay events in the south, though... :U

Though there is Manchester and Birmingham Expos, so actually, I think it's better being here for that than it is living 1 hr from London

We just had a con at Doncaster Dome! It's called Yorkshire Cosplay Con.
There's alot of anime lovers in Donny and they meet up regularly!

Aaahhh, I saw that Dome cosplay meet! D: I was so gutted I didn't hear anything about it! >_<

I'm haunting the few Donny people I can find to make sure it doesn't happen again. I think there's a meetup at the Winter Gardens sometime soon, right?

But I get all weird going to new conventions/meetups 'cuz I'm a solo cosplayer so I feel all weird and stuff... OnO Hopefully I'll grow out of it when I get a bit more used to cosplaying. xD

Awww. I'd definately suggest coming to one of the cons though! I went on my own last time and everyone is just so friendly ;o;

The next one is this saturday at the peace gardens. I had thought about making an appearance too.

However the chances of me being in cosplay are slim as mine are always far too creepy for wearing in public.

Aaah, I heard about the Peace Gardens meetup.. Might be too cold for all my current cosplays but I might turn up in a Yukata or something. C: It's nice having a close-by meetup.. Might see a few of you?

It's so hard to get around to all the cosplay meetups... >_< Hopefully when I can drive, I'll be able to trundle around everywhere a lot more, but until then I'm stuck half-dressed-up on trains or in taxis.. XD

Still, it's great to hear about some more nearby meetups... If I get some more prod-reminders closer to the date, I'll see if I can make it. C: It'll be fun to get a bit more involved!
