Hi, I'm not sure I belong here but I was intrigued enough to sign up, so here I am!

Basically I've never done cosplay, I LOVE Halloween & always spend September & October making costumes for myself and friends but creating costumes once a year doesn't seem enough anymore!

I'll probably get lynched for this next comment but...I'm really not a fan of anime/manga, I enjoy making costumes from films & video games.

Not every cosplayer automatically has to cosplay from anime, its each to their own tastes.
Welcome to ci! I also live in Notts and we have cosplay meets sometimes and I know there is also a group within Derby that arranges too

I seldom watch anime or manga but I love cosplay.

Just wanted to echo that you won't be the odd one out here for not being into anime. Most people here cosplay from a variety of different things, films, TV, comics, you name it someone's probably cosplayed from it
