Hi . Im new to this whole cosplay thing as I didnt really know it existed until recently. But I am a HUGE disney fan. The idea of dressing up in replica disney costumes sounds amazing to me!
Im actually organising a Beauty abd the beast birthday party for my neice in June and am dressing as belle for her. Also im planning on purchasing a princess jasmine wig/costume for an arabian nights party in Aug.
I would love to come along with you guys if possible? Room for one more??

Always room for one more. You are absolutely welcome. Let me know who you're coming as and I can add you to the list.

Thankyou thats so nice x
Im buying princess jasmine & belle anyway so I can come as either. Do you need one more than the other? xx

06 Feb 2012 - 22:1478467
Completely up to you. It depends on which day you're coming, as I'm gonna be Jasmine on the Saturday, but we don't mind duplicates at all.
Jessie isn't doing Belle anymore so we don't have one, but there's always a few that aren't on the forums.

Just to check is this expo the one in London ? Is it a 2 day event? I would be interested in going both days if other people are? Xx

06 Feb 2012 - 23:0478471
yeah, it's this one: http://www.londonexpo.com/

The event is Friday to Sunday. If you take a look at the first page of this thread, I have a list of all the Disney cosplayers and when they are doing what. May be useful to you.

Def never too old for Disney! I've just found out too that apparently in disneyworld on Halloween during mickeys not so scary Halloween party you can actually wear fancy dress in the park. Imagine having your picture dressed as Cinderella in front of the Cinderella castle!! That's my holiday planned for this year lol
Very excited about this expo never attended one before. Who are you going as ? X

It's the same for the halloween parties in all of the parks. They do get upset however if you try to stay in character, or if it's hard to distinguish you from the cast members, as understandably they don't want kids mistaking you for the real thing.
One day I'll manage to lug one of my rediculous costumes to Paris with me for the halloween parties.

Oh that's good x I thought it was only Florida that did it but Paris would be better ( less expensive) . X

hi everyone.
I am considering a change in what costume il be wearing on the sunday - Im considering the possibility now of snow white or Ariel sunday instead of Jasmine. Im very pale and was planning on being spray tanned before wearing my Jasmine costume. as Im going to be 2 different characters that weekend I think it may be easier to stick to the fairer skined princesses??

Ive seen some amazing cosplay pics in great settings. Traci Hines did a brilliant Ariel on the beach and it looked amazing. I would Love to do that in the summer!

Ah I love that Traci shoot..
I agree though, Having the right setting would just add a little extra magic to the pictures!

Def! She got her tail from a guy called eric known as 'the mer tailor' He makes silicone mermaid tails that you can actually swim in. Ive seen some great underwater shots where they have used these tails. We should get a group of us together in the summer down the beach and get some awesome pics!

I know, I'm pale myself and obviously completely mad for doing Jasmine on the saturday before I do the hollywood pale Blue Fairy... but I'm using all over full coverage make-up rather than tanning, so with enough scrubbing it should be ok.

Also, just found out from people that work there: there's no not so scary halloween events this year at disneyland paris, so photos would have to wait.

Oh no. I'm gonna have to get saving for Florida ! Lol
I bet there as some really great spots in uk where you can get some amazing back drops! I was just saying about some ariel pics on the beach , you could do some great snow white / tink ones in woodlands x

This sounds like a plan! I think they may be on the pricey side though....

Absolutely agree with finding backdrops for shots elsewhere. The temptation to invade sherwood forest for some pictures is overwhelming.

Have you guys seen this?

All the sisters, in a pool. Always seemed like a fun idea

Yeh the more realistic they are unfortunately the more expensive they get but if you type mertailor into YouTube and see them swimming under water in them you soon start considering saving up! Lol
