Waterproof boot covers
Hey guys, What are your suggestions for making waterproof boot covers?

I'm making this costume: http://cosplayisland.co.uk/costume/view/48373 and am thinking about the shoes for it. My original plan was to make boot covers over a pair of wellies I already own, because the costume will be worn outside, in Scottish weather, in mid-December. >_> So how can I make sure the covers over my waterproof boots don't get utterly ruined when I'm wading through potential snow and slush?

If they're black wellies just add some fur to the top! Due to how boot covers are made they'll never really be waterproof and durable, it's best to just find similar boots and use those instead.

Hm, if you wanted you could use something called gaiters, they're used for hiking but they do kinda keep boots dry and safe, I've used them many times before. You can buy them from any outdoor shop but its up to you I'm not sure if they'll work but they might =)
