Kekkaishi help
Hi Ive been having a bit of trouble finding where to start with a planned costume.

As you may have seen from my previous costumes I am a larger cosplayer but I would really try to pull off a kekkaishi from the sumimura family. I just have no idea where to start with his kimono/robes.

Does anyone have any ideas how i can make this or where i can get patterns for a larger individual such as myself.

Also could anyone tell me what the trousers are called so i can try researching those also.

the trousers are called hakama and if you cant find a pattern to your size , the best advice i can give is buy the biggest pattern available then while pinning to the fabric when cutting it out add load of extra fabric so basicall make the shape of the pattern piece ALOT bigger as when its made you can always take it in if its too big, but when making your pattern pieces bigger, make sure all the pattern pieces are extended the same amount , for example if u make one 5 inches bigger all round, make all pattern pieces extra 5 inches all around if that makes sense, hopefully someone else on cos island ca give you better advice than this lmao (im from birmingham i wasnt born to make sense you no lol)

I agree with Ryaoki, use a pattern an make it bigger to suit you needs, it always easier to take it in than let it out!!

you should be able to get some patterns for this, simplicty have quite a nice range of costume patterns that can easily be customised

if your still having problems trying to find a hakuma then ask a martial art dojo (mainly aikido) because they sell them and you just need to dye it after that
