Hey guys? Just curious, is anyone stopping in the london docklands travelodge? The East India one? I am with my boyfriend and it's about 20 minutes away from excel and I'm messing myself that the DLR will be FULL of non cosplayers who might start commenting, or we might be the only ones in costume on it. I've had bad experiences before like this, so I'd care not to repeat it and the Travel lodge was the cheapest hotel we could find. D:
Also, I've heard one or two people say the rooms are actually smoking friendly, is this true? Kind of worried as I'm asthmatic and smoke does not agree with me. Normally I stop in Premier Inn but the prices are insane. o_O
If there is a topic like this already, please feel free to direct me to it, I did have a look, but didn't see it on the first page and don't like to necro. D:

As for your room, I thought due to the law on smoking now, all rooms everywhere are non-smoking? So whilst I can't say for your hotel, I would be suprised if there were any smoking rooms. |

I'm staying in Docklands Travelodge from Friday until Sunday. Never stayed in London before, so I'm interested in how it's gonna go down. Travelling from East India shouldn't be a problem at all, it's 3 stops from Expo, and by that point, the carriages will be loaded with cosplayers. I'll be about, if you guys wanna travel to the station with other cosplayers. Hope to see ya there Quote NuFenix:

The Smoking Ban covers enclosed Public Places. Hotel Rooms are hired out to people at a cost, and are considered Private - the smoking ban doesn't affect Hotel Rooms. The DLR, from London to Beckton will be crammed with cosplayers. And it's to be expected. Hell, I'd have more fun on a train full of non cosplayers. I'd be like "Yeah. Those are dual wieldies and I shoot electricity, m**********er. And what. You wish you had a jacket as totally bitchin' as this. __________________ http://starchildcoffee.blogspot.com Last edited by JaeXD (15 Oct 2011 - 11:05) |
