| Crap Rocket Red Joined: 08 Mar 2011 Posts: 339 | Tunic help Hey guys, I've made a Link tunic before however I'm looking to make another one since I screwed up my first one by adding green leaf patterns to the sleeves for originality >_< can anyone help me with a pattern for the Tunic? And possibly what i'd need to measure to get it the right length etc __________________

| Sakurastar123 Joined: 04 Jun 2010 Posts: 165 | I found that getting a large shirt, cutting it up and tracing around it will give you a basic shape which you can alter. Make the bottom of the shirt a bit longer and cut into the neck area to achieve the shape you want and then use the pattern on the fabric you are using for the tunic. Hope that helps ^^ |

| Kess Joined: 21 Apr 2009 Posts: 158 | I cut two rectangles of fabric, then put in the collar cut and sleeves using approximate measurements (it's usually best to make a mock-up out of some cheap linen to get this exact). And for some reason, that worked really well for Link. But then again, I was making 10 of these tunics in a week, and was basing the designs on the chibi Links in 4 Swords... And this technique only works if the character has a belt, which most versions of Link have.
