the 'oh amazing photos, you must have a really good camera' saying that i hear way too often...

Yes, of course it's the camera... likewise, i love your costume, you must have an amazing needle and thread... *facepalm*

...and Leonardo da Vinci had a great paintbrush.

Yeah, that one about having a really good camera annoys me too.

For me I can easliy say that it's the younger year students.

I'm in my last year of 6th form college and the new year 12s are just driving me up the walls. It's the way that they act in class both when the teacher is there and when they are not. And in the common room they have no respect for the year 13 and 14s that are trying to do their coursework or do revsion so that they pass their exams at the end of the year.

I'm getting to the point were I just might end up losing my temper at them and having the biggest snap that I've ever had or I goand ask one of the teachers if the PE department has a punching bag that I can use to work off my anger.

Its probably cos they've just started college and they think the sun shines out of their arse holes! I'm sure they'll change their tune when they start getting serious course work!

Try going over and quietly asking them to keep it down a bit because your trying to work, failing that shout at them!

Yeah that is true. Some of them have already changed or they came in like me actually wanting to learn.

Ok this just happened as someone walked right passed me, I could smell cigarette smoke on thier clothes and it is just one of the things that I can't stand, mainly due to the fact that I got accussed of being a smoker in secondary school by the person I could smell the cigarette smoke coming from and what made it worst was that she was meant to be one of my friends. Although I can say the next thing that I hate from cigarette smoke is someone who has just clearly used a body spray to try and cover it up, and I can just easily trun around to them and say that it's not working I can still smell it.

Something that I want to point out is that I have nothing against smokers.

This sounds pretty tame, but I think you should stop giving a crap about those around you. At the age when smoking seems cool to others, it's really not.

When I was at college, I had the crap kicked out of me once or twice as I walked out of the building when it was dark. It's funny when I see someone rage about something I would consider insignificant, haha you kids eh?

The best you can do is avoid spending any energy on someone else and concentrate on getting your study sorted. Some people are the kind that don't revise, arse about and still get amazing grades, they're not stupid they're just arseholes. I'd hate for someone as thoughtful as you to waste brain power thinking of these plebs.

Hm, I don't think anything that get's posted here is "insignificant" Jae. If nothing else, we're all different and so different things rub us the wrong way. Although I do agree, they are definitely not worth her time or energy!

My rant? Well, sort of a rant. Today while I was getting a lift from the senior instructor to the lesson today, we got held up behind some guy who was right in the middle of the junction. He stopped because there was a red light, but he was already in the middle so it meant he could go past anyway, but he wouldn't. He was holding up everyone there so he honked him, which was met really gracefully with the guy's middle finger at us.

Some people, eh? XD

FFS! Why is my cat so attention-seeky at the worse possible time?! He's come in dripping wet and decides "hey, you want a cuddle right?" at a point where I've got my costume on my lap trying to put in zip! And it made a horrid sound and I'm terrified it's ripped somewhere!

He's already ruined my Batgirl and my Amora corset mark 1.0, and I only had time to remake the corset. If he's ruined the trousers I won't have time to re-do them!

EDIT:

Okay, only a small tear at the back seam, which I can cover.

Though, to add insult to injury, he's also just guffed.

Insignificant if it was me, I know everyone else hold different sets of values.

However the debate of what is and isn't significant is insignificant because Nixie's cat just pooted and that is much more significant.

I love cats. Cat farts are also awesome.

I'm a little freaked out at the mo. A couple of friends have joined my work place. The problem is a few months ago I did some really stupid things to updet one of them. I have seen her there yet as I am part of team working of site. The issue will be when I come back (which looks to be early November).

I haven't actually seen her since I did those things, and right now working on the asumption that she is still angry. I want to make amends and work things out or at least be able work together without a problem.

If she hinders work performance due to being upset personally (depending on what you did, I don't know), then she's not got a mature mentality - You should separate any issues (though there are exceptions) you may have with someone when you're in the workplace - it's just not the place for it.

So, if she refuses to work properly with you, even if you try to smooth things over; it's her problem, not yours.

@Jae: I'm thinking of renaming him to "Mr Whiffy" "Sir Guffalot" or "Captain Tooty". What do you think?

The change in season thing is kinda depressing already.

I went to work a few weeks ago to get some steaming done and it went straight from really nice skirts and spaghetti tops to fleeces and woolly jumpers. Winter clothes can be nice but im a summer person by heart.

Also as a result of the change in weather I have been feeling pretty ill since yesterday. Not fun at all. On the bright side I treated myself to some fabric yesterday so should be back to cosplay work when I am better

It's better I don't say what it is I did.

I haven't said anything to her yet (I've been told by someone else that I shouldn't). I've been thinking about what to say since yesterday.

Even though I temporarily in a different office, I can still come down for overtime shifts. So I could see her sooner than later.

Really sorry to hear that, Isabela. I remember one of my old neighbours lost his baby and I know how much that tore him up. D:

Yeah, just take it easy and let us all know if you wanna chat.

My rant, which now seems a little petty, my damn local craft shops are useless! They really suck when it comes to shopping for cosplays! They have no material, glue, Velcro, nothing! Kinda hoping to get all my shopping done by next week. D:

I'm really sorry for your loss. I too have lost people close to me, and it leaves such a gap - just take things slow and feel free to drop me a pm if you feel the need to talk.

Thanks Nixie. I'm just stunned. My friend was so looking forward to being a mother and it's heartbreaking. Everyone is supporting each other though - she has alot of friends and we're all helping each other.
