I've been told today to take any job I'm offered!

That would be great, if anyone offered me a job, but they're not!

I'm not exactly turning down jobs here, I don't enjoy living off less than £30 a week after all my bills have gone out! I work my arse off looking for a job!
Oh man, I feel your pain. I found it hard enough when I was out of work, it was only because I had a friend where I work now that I got my job, really!

Doesn't help as well that, bear in mind it shouldn't be too long now before I'm gonna be either teaching or training every afternoon/evening on a week day, not a lot of places want someone with my availability!

Anyway, keep pressing on, I actually found (dunno if you do this already) that with internet job searches, it's often a good idea to go to the big companies directly (Waitrose, Debenhams, WH Smiths...) directly on their own website, because a lot of them don't advertise on the agency websites.

If nothing else it all comes down to being persistent, keeping your name out there and making sure your CV is all up to scratch and looking amazing! I'm sure something will come your way soon.

Well it's Ame tomorrow and I'm still bricking it. Don't know how else to put it. I feel worse whenever I see a mutual friend mention on of them on his FB.

To make things worse someone else removed me from his FB and I have no idea why. I know it's FB but I see the guy alot and I don't think I've done anything to upset the guy. Also he's already there...

I'm just a retard.

i hurt my right wrist at work, literally i just put my hands around the palet truck handle and something gave in my wrist. my entire hand went into severe pins and needles then went numb. now. i can feel the back of my hand, but not my palm and it hurts if i flex it and my wrist only stops hurting if my hand is palm up.

but the worst thing is... tonight was 16 pounds an hour pay, and it's a 12 hour shift. and, like, it's not even that serious. literally, i was sent home purely because the company would be liable [apparently] if something happened.

not impressed.

typing this with my left hand, in case you were wondering

Might be an obvious question, Nixie. But have you seen a doctor about it? Even if you think it's something that will go away in a few days or something you can be surprised with how much worse small injuries or strains can get.

I'm no expert but maybe it's like a trapped nerve or something? Which can indeed be a very minor thing, but just to be on the safe side I'd get it checked out, especially if it's never happened before. The last thing you want is to tell yourself you'll be fine to go back to work and then you make it even worse.

Remember your health is more important than money!

Something similar has happened to me but not quite as painful as yours; mine will just ache now and again after edging the grass or pulling out Ragwort (they're a pain in the ass to get out of the ground)

And for some strange reason I'm getting bitten during the night, the day I can understand with the blasted Horse-Flies (Annoying sods) but the night baffles me... I woke up with 6 bites on my leg which have decided to inflame unusually badly, and another on my shoulder which has just healed nicely. The Anthisan Cream hasn't worked so I'm hoping the ibuprofen, paracetamol, and a cold flannel will help it calm down at least a little.

Ok, so my post is kind of bad. But not bad bad, basically this time my brother has said he's definitely not coming to MCM with me, which kinda sucks!

But I may have mentioned before that he's not the most sociable person in the world, and he sure does seem to complain a lot about the Expo so it might be nice to experience it for myself for once. Guess I'll just have to see how it turns out!

My stuff was stolen at Ame and it's really made me mad, I've now lost an iPad, a laptop and a goddamn PSP.

If anyone has any information regarding seeing anyone with a olive green/black Primark bag coming from The Oaks between 5:45pm and 11pm, I'd greatly appreciate it. It was stolen from the room and may have been used to carry out the stuff.

Oh god, I really feel for you!! We had our stuff stolen a couple of years back at Expo. It's a really crappy way to end a weekend!

I know that feeling!

EDIT:

ARGH! They're back! There was a guy who was generally being a dick on a site I go on, and personally attacking me and another. He got banned, but now he's back! So once again, I'm finding myself eyeing my message notification light with suspicion, as I'm paranoid of hate mail in there, and going through the new content in case there's hate speech in it again.

It's horrible, it just makes the site a horrible place to be in.

Ah, I wouldn't worry too much! I absolutely sucked at College but I'm still getting by quite nicely. Even if you completely mess up on your exams it's not the end of the world! My honest opinion is that even if you don't have a penny to your name you can still do whatever you want, achieve whatever you want and be your own person.

But on the plus side, if you can do that with nothing, you can sure as hell do it if you have all your fancy degrees as well!

Congrats Leo! I'm glad you got to go where you wanted too and didn't do as bad as you thought!

TIL; Banks are evil and horrible and I hate them. They won't up my overdraft, they won't up my credit card, and I could do with the money as I have none!

Also I got bit by some insects whilst I was at camp last weekend and now I seem to have reacted badly, so now I have these little target-like marks on my arms and legs, the doctor has assured me its not Lymes diesease, so I suppose thats good!

I have a job interview next Thursday, they better be gone by then!

Ugh last day of my week at work, I can't wait for a day off as my boss has been nit picking at me and the girl I work with about really tiny silly things, like blaming me when customers walk out (even though they were the last to sit down therefore would the last to get served and I was dealing with other customers first!) and having a go at us when we call it brown bread rather than wholemeal, or when we take an order on the phone for a pick up and we don't take a name (because a name is totally gonna help *rolls eyes*) UGH! I hate being a waitress there, but being a waitress isn't too bad, I like making coffees and cappuccinos and stuff, thats pretty fun =) but my boss is not!

I feel ya pain, Catnip. The managers at my job are a bunch of jerks as well.

On that note, I had a look at my finances annnnd it turns out that it's not really feasable for me to quit my job. I have no idea when it will be a possibility either, so once again my hopes of finally being able to get out of there are crushed. Jooooy.

Stick to it! Keep job hunting though! YOU CAN DO IT IF YOU B&Q IT!

Wait...

Feeling lonely and iscolated right now. Feels worse because I can't really vent about it here without it probably stirring shit further. I really can't deal with a horrible situation I'm in right now.

Maybe. I'll have either finished my Kirito costume or killed myself by then

Sure!

Had to have Stig the ferret put down this afternoon. He's been sick for a while, kinda having mild fits, but then coming back to normal.

But this afternoon I went out to check on them and he was having this huge convulsing fit on the floor in the hutch, he was even foaming at the mouth. I took him to the vets, and then he started screaming in pain.

I don't know if you've heard a ferret scream, but its a horrible noise. So I made the decsion then to get him put down, there was nothing the vet could do, and it was the right choice.

I got home and just broke down crying in the shed, we buried him with the others later.

I'm not saying he was my favorite ferret, I couldn't say that, but he was definatly the most loving. He'd sit on my lap and watch tv, and I could trust him with anyone cos he didn't have a mean bone in his body.

So overall, I've had a pretty crappy day tbh. I NEED to start my skirt later, but I have no drive to do it, I'm just devastated.

I'm really sorry to hear that
A friend of mine has a ferret and I know they can be very warm and loving creatures. I've always been an animal person and know it's heartbreaking to lose one. I hope that the good memories you had of Stig live on.
