Cosplay-related BAWWWW Thread
Okay, sooo, let's try a cosplay ffffuuuuuuuuu thread in the Cosplay chat section! Idea being if we have enough actual cosplay-related threads in here we'll eventually get a groups sub-forum and have this bit just for cosplay-related discussions.

So, my cosplay-related BAWWWWW:

I ordered £49 worth of fabric from Tissu Fabrics last night - put through my Paypal payment + £15 for postage, that went through okay, and then got redirected back to the main page (which I hadn't been on as I found the website through googling 'teal stretch fabric' )

"Free delivery on orders over £50!"

Have emailed them to see if I can add an extra metre of fabric onto my order and thereby save me over a tenner in postage charges ><; To think I googled for discount codes when I got to the payment page but missed that!

I haven't had any recent "oh fu-" moments. But I remember when I was trying to finish the skirt for my Mew Berry cosplay: http://www.cosplayisland.co.uk/costume/view/44313 [scroll right down] I wanted to iron it, and I ended up burning a hole through it. I kicked myself so hard because I used the same setting on the fabric the day before and it was fine - and I was an idiot to think I wouldn't need to test it out on a piece of scrap fabric. How wrong I was.
Thankfully, I burnt a hole through the lining of the skirt, which is on the inside where no-one can see it.

I'm over it now though, and I laugh at my stupidity. Nevertheless, I always iron on a piece of scrap fabric now before ironing the real thing!

I guess mine would be my total inability to buy zips. I'm starting to think I'm cursed. I'll always be being extra careful remembering the length I need and wind up with a closed ended one instead of open or vice versa. My worst zip failure to date was my getting suckered online into buying a chunky transparent zip on the understanding that it was a concealed zip - since when does "concealed" mean "transparent and sleeping-bag chunky"?? D: oh well, I'm well stocked for all zip related disasters anyway!

I bought a bowtie once for 2.99 with 1.50 p+p, simple really. A week later I get a letter saying that the person refused to pay postal charges causing me to pay them and get the package in person at a place that's a 40 mins walk from me that shuts a 12pm everyday.

This took three weeks to do, as I had barely anytime to go and get it being busy and all with course work. When I finally had some time to go and get the package it turns out they shipped the damn thing backed to the seller but they don't know where seeing as the seller did not put a return address.

waste of small change >:I

I've just moved house and, for some reason that's totally unknown to me as I changed all my ebay details as soon as I knew what date I'd be changing my address, some fabric I've ordered has ended up going to my old address. The people who moved in are NEVER IN, so I've been waiting for a week to get my hands on some fabric to finish up my cosplay. D: I just want to finish my jacket, damn it!

I ordered a mask at the beginning of September and it still hasn't turned up. Looking at the tracking info it said the mask arrived in the country on the 9th, so hopefully it'll turn up soon but DAMN.

I mean, how does it take near enough a whole month to just send it out to begin with?! I- Ah, I'll just stop before I fill out the entire thread with rants.
