I finally found my Wii remote again, so I've been playing Skyward Sword. I still haven't finished it yet, though that's my goal for next week.

Well, I think it's more to do with the fact that for some reason they gave the rights of the series to Zombie Studios who are an American company, and thus have to mess up a perfectly good series. The only other game made by them that I've played is SAW, which again I have to say kinda sucked, as much as I love the films.

Oh my god yes, it's like first whole is "Ok, nowhere else to go, looks like I gotta go for it." second hole is like "I was lucky I even survived that last one and I gotta go again?!" then the third one is just like "Seriously...?"

Aw, nevermind eh? There is no point in getting a game if it's just gonna sit on a shelf because you can't bring yourself to play it. I remember that's what happened to me when I first played Clock Tower 3. That game honestly gave me nightmares for about 2 months the first time...

Yeah, it's just such a shame because it was my all time favourite horror series. 1-4 were all absolutely brilliant but then it became a pretty generic "Kill all the enemies as you walk down a big corridor." game only without guns.

Clock Tower is... It's a pretty obscure series, it definitely has its good points. I played the very original and number 3, in their essence the idea behind the game is actually awesome. You basically get chased by a nasty murderer or wacko kid with a pair of hedge trimmers and you have to run, hide and try and outsmart them to stay alive. You don't get any weapons as such, so it actually makes you feel like you're a victim in a slasher flick or something. But at the same time, it's pretty basic in some ways in terms of gameplay and if you know what you're doing you can complete the game pretty quickly. I liked it myself, but bear in mind the first time I played 3 I was like 15 it did scare the bejeesus out of me.

Yeah I heard that Homecoming was where It all went horribly wrong xDD But i heard that Shattered memories wasnt too bad (Not played/seen that one yet)

And Hmmm, Im not sure I could handle the pressure! (I dont really like the idea of being nearly completely helpless... I NEED WEAPONS!) XDD

You were 15 and it scared you THAT much? Thats like 2 years younger than I am now! That settles it... I would NOT be able to play that game until Im like 25 x'D

I have Shattered Memories! it's actually pretty good but it's also very different to the original. Again it's actually got no weapons, the "action" parts of the game are all just running away, my MAIN beef with it was that during those parts it can sometimes really not be clear about where exactly you're meant to be going. You CAN look at the map, but it doesn't pause the game. So there's not a lot of chance to do that when you're getting chased, the first couple of chase scenes I was literally running around in circles for about half an hour because I couldn't figure out where I was actually supposed to be going. XD

It did, but I've heard some people say it didn't scare them at all, even on their first playthrough. It wouldn't surprise me if I was just a bit of a whimp, but I think since then I haven't found a single horror game that's actually scared me.

By the way, you do sound like you'd be a laugh to play with. XD

Ive been told im pretty entertaining when playing games (Not to toot my own horn though, I am pretty good at them... so long as im not scared shitless XD So I complete it in good time AND I have a laugh)
Me and my friends have made some pretty LOL worthy moments

The part in anniversary in the first level where the bridge collapses made me jump the first time, that's the main one that sticks out to me. XD

Haha, I have a friend who I play with and she freaks out anytime something jumps out at her, sneaks up on her or whatever. It's quite entertaining. XD Not in a horrible way I just do laugh when I can hear her over the microphone going "So what are we- HAFULGAUB OH MY GOD OUT OF NOWHERE!"

I remember when I was younger in one of the PC game Versions my dad had, that there was this one part where you had to balance? Or something like that over a pit where a Bear was and I would always fall in and scream 'DAD!!! Come quick! Ive done it again, Quick the bears gonna eat meeee!' Thats one of my earliest memories of it

I currently only have, a PSP, PS2, DS and a Wii, My brother has the Xbox 360 and Occasionally lets me play it if hes got a game I like or something xP

My friends have PS3's and I would normally go round theirs to play games like FFXIII or AC.

BUT I think I might finally be getting s PS3 for my birthday (Which is next month) I plan to raid Blockbuster for all their second hand games Mwahahahaha xD

Ive made a list of what I want to buy as soon as I get one, ranging from Skyrim all the way down to Little big planet xD

Ah, well that'll be good! It's so nice being able to just play with your friends whenever you want! It's annoying for me because most of my friends all have PS3's but I have an Xbox, I did get one of them to cave in now and so we've been doing some gratuitous amounts of Gears of War and Halo. XD

It's always worth looking around to see what deals you can get! As someone who used to work at Game the difference in price between new and pre-owned sometimes was amazing. And of course the shops sometimes do a 3 for £20 deal or something similar.

Skyrim is amazing! I played LBP with my friend and it was a laugh, especially as she bought the Final Fantasy VII clothes sets just for me. >.<

I always perfered Play station to Xbox which is why I want a PS3, I guess im just used to the controls more, I grew up with a PS1, didnt get a PS2 until I was 12 and got a PSP when I was 14 xP
I just sooo hope I get it! Been after one since it came out... back when it was like £500 XDD

Oh yeah I forgot Game did pre-owned -shot- I dont go in there very often since the nearest one is like the next town and I dont usually go there, and there is another in the City but then that costs to cross the ferry and get the bus to the ferry and back xP

At first I was like 'Hmm Skyrim looks pretty cool' then the other day I saw some 'Lets Play' Videos for it and now im like 'NUFFIWLJFIUDNWKJB I WANT SKYRIM!' *O*

And LOL LBP is such a cute game!!! I have it on PSP but I love playing it on multiplayer on PS3 more and I think that would be a good game for me and my 7 year old brother to have a go at together x3

I always used to prefer the playstation, I was an avid PS2 player at one point. Then I just got sick of waiting for the PS3 to come out, and I got the 360 and now I prefer it! It just suits me better, I think... Plus it does usually work out a bit cheaper. Not that there's THAT much of a price difference these days.

Ah well, it sometimes pays to look. As much as they can rip you off on trade in deals and such, sometimes they do good deals like I remember not too long ago my local gamestation did a "For every 3 games you trade in you get an extra £5 credit." which was pretty beast.

I was exactly the same! I had heard about it and thought "It'll probably be good, but I won't expect it to be amazing or anything." I watched my brother play it for 10 minutes and was like "I want, I want, I want, I want!"

Yeah, it really is! Although most of the time I usually just try and slap my friends or drag them... Or both. XD

I did consider buying a 360 once, when the PS3 was still pretty expensive BUT i decided against it, since that was when 360 was having MAJOR problems with the 'Red ring of death' and my brother was already on his 3rd 360, Im glad I waited now though, its like... all my dreams are coming true *o* xDD

I never do trades... then again I couldent really bare to part with any of my games... I am such a hoarder, I still have every game I have ever bought ^^;
I think I will have to someday though (Although I have made a promise to myself that I will never give away ANY of my Kingdom Hearts Games since that is my all time favourite Game series, and probably always will be xDD)

Yeah the originals were a bit prone to breaking down. All though in all fairness, I've had one of the original classic ones for 3 years, I had the RRoD once, but I unplugged it and replugged it in and it's worked absolutely fine ever since. I think it does depend though, I could well just be lucky. XD It's not mildly sad, though! Gaming is serious business!

Yeah, in all honesty a lot of games just aren't even worth trading in anymore these days. Any time people traded in PS2 games when I worked at Game they got such a pitiful amount I couldn't help but feel sorry for them. Especially considering that, once upon a time, these games probably cost about £40 just by themselves. I know as well that if they were missing their manual they'd just outright refuse to take it. Kingdoms Hearts is a bit Kawaii Desu XD I only wished you could actually get other permanent members in your party... Preferably Final Fantasy ones, but hey. XD

Trade in for games are terrible, if i'm going to get rid of some of my games I go to CEX, manage to get £240 for about 35 games whichs is alot better then anything Game or Gamestation would of given me.

Kingdom Hearts IS and forever will be my favourite game (Maybe because I am a HUGE Disney fan? xD)
But also the sentimental value (One of my first PS2 games, I bought it in one of my local Woolworth shops, which is now a 99p shop xP)
But yeah I have High hopes for the newer games since they seem to mature a bit more as they go on.
Yeah I would so have Squall or Cloud permanently in my party, it would make a pretty bad-ass team XD

Haven't played much of the series but I have to say I enjoy it. Although some things seem to work when they want to...

Back on the trade in topic, an unusual place to trade in but with very fair prices is surprisingly Asda. A while ago after RE:ORC was released, I was looking to trade in three games to get it - Grainger Games offered me £17 for them (with one of them being Final Fantasy XIII-2), but Asda gave me over £30 for only two of them. I think they can be iffy with some of the games traded in (for some reason they wouldn't take Eternal Sonata from me) but as long as you give them relatively recent games for trade in, they give you very fair prices compared to that of Game/Gamestation/Grainger Games.

I've just had two full days of playing Resident Evil 5 with a friend which I've enjoyed so much. It was something I definitely needed after a bad week!

I actually honestly never would have thought to look in Asda. I actually thought they sold them but wouldn't trade them back in!

In Game/Gamestation's defence though, (And after working there I do cringe to defend them.) like I was saying before, lately they have been doing deals on trade-in's. I remember once my brother traded in about 10 games he wasn't playing anymore? They were doing a deal which was an extra £5 for two games or something, so on top of his money he got an extra £25!

Also, he bought Dark Souls from amazon for £20, traded it in for £19.50 so although some games don't get you anywhere near as much as they should (Like I always say to anyone that it's really not worth trading in Halo 3, even now that game is still very much playable, but the fact that it's not even the second newest game now means you're going to get chump change for it.) they do sometimes do good ones. Just don't expect any good money (or any money at all sometimes) for PS2 games or anything. XD

EDIT: Oh yes, my brother bought Lollipop Chainsaw as well, he hasn't played it yet but I've heard it's quite a laugh. Has anyone else here got it?

I think it must depend on the Asda really - mine's got a preowned section but I'm not sure that applies to every single one. It's worth having a look though. The trade in value applies to spending it all over the store as well, not just in the game section

About two months ago, Game had a deal where you'd get an extra £10 trade in for every three games you brought in, just after they'd managed to save themselves from administration. It's definitely worth keeping an eye on the offers they do as that particular one lead to me only paying £120 for the Star Wars Xbox (granted I did have to trade in about 30 games for it, but it was worth it XD). Last week they had 25% extra trade in as well, so the offers do make the difference.
