We've had a what's your favourite hot beverage thread, a what film have you just watched thread and a whole lot others so I thought why not a what game are you currently playing thread?

This will go hand in hand with Han (Hyuga)'s thread Post your Gamertags/Playstation IDs!

So I might as well set the ball rolling:

Gears of War 3 (just finished it on Hardcore, just waiting for 3 other people to finish it to do 4 player Co-op on Insane)
Deus Ex (could've been better)
and I've just gotten Portal 2 from LoveFilm which I haven't played yet.

Now just the long arduous wait for Skyrim on 11.11.11...

Oh with dashings of Minecraft 1.9pr

Gears of War 3: Completed Campaign mode on Normal, but I might go through again on a harder difficulty. At the moment I'm working more on horde mode and getting my ass kicked on wave 40. Not looking forward to 50, either. D:

Dead Island: Again, very recently completed this one and I have to say the more I played the game the more disappointed I was with it. For starters the ending was pretty meh. But I really enjoyed the beginning where it's like "Grab whatever weapon you can find and thwack zombies or throw it at them." As it went on it really did feel just like Borderlands with a focus on melee combat. Borderlands is great, of course, but I wanted to mess around and just kill zombies in hilarious ways. D:

Final Fantasy IX: Going back to some older stuff! Me and my brother decided to start a game a little while ago, because originally it was our eldest brothers and he was such a jerk when it came to games, so we only really got to see the beginning and right at the end. Sooo we decided to start a game, enjoy the story and have a bit of fun. We've divided up the characters so I'm controlling Vivi, Steiner, Quina and Amarant when we get him. Gotta admit, the more I play IX the more I am loving it!

I also seriously can't wait for Saint's Row the Third!

Dead Island like I am an actual zombie .. addicted to that island shaped zombie CRACK!

Deus Ex .. 100%'ing the shit out of that game, just been distracted by Dead Island (not normal for me to bother achievement whoring but am only 4 away, soon to be 2)

It's a superbly brilliant game with a brilliant plot! I just love watching Kuja murder murder murder! It's sweet brilliance! Especially those Cleyra French dancers lol

Mass Effect 2 is being thoroughly replayed at the moment for ME3 and looking at buy The Old Repbulic... But right no GuildWars has me hooked>.<

recently i discovered pc gaming and an old classic at the moment im playing through the sequel Star Wars KOTOR 2

sorry to tell you this wakka but unless someones willing to sell you there preorder you wont get a copy of the old republic for months, i was looking at it last month

Yeah, it really is great! I'm really glad I decided to go through it again because like I said I missed most of it but it's quickly becoming one of my favourites, matter of fact I'm beginning to think it's rivalling my love of VII!

And yeah, I did laugh at the Cleyra dance! It really reminded me of river dancing... And yeah, Kuja is pretty awesome as well, has to be said!

Finishing up The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and Disgaea 3, just started Disgaea 4 and Pokemon Black, I have a Kingdhom Hearts or two that I'm going to get back into again annnnd...I'm sure there're more. But Zelda and Disgaea 3 are my main games right now.

Haha wave 40! me and a group of randoms managed to get to level 19 before we started wiping constantly and they all rage quit.

I'm quite a big fan of Final Fantasy IX even though I've never finished it. My disc 4 was scratched and so it wouldn't load up after the FMV at the very beginning. I have been meaning to go back and play it again as I have them all 1-10 12-13 sat about here somewhere.



I actually started ME1 again to prepare for ME3, going renegade all the way as my current character is very paragade, not enough of either to be an use.

Currently going through AC:Brotherhood as I just completed AC2 the other day.
When i'm not on there, i'm usually found raging at Black Ops

I'm always in the middle of several games at once because I can never concentrate on one game haha. I'm really, really enjoying Bioshock 2 at the moment (that's my main game), as well as Halo Reach, Tales of Vesperia, Final Fantasy XIII and Half-Life 2.

I'm so excited for Batman Arkham City next month. Need to get some of those games polished off so I can concentrate on that when it's released

Up to September in Persona 3: FES now - it's only taken me nearly 3 years to get this far, I got the game for Christmas back in 2008 XD Not taken so long cos it's a bad game, I just take forever to finish games! Once I've finished that it'll be time to finish Xenosaga II, which I bought at Ame 08 XD

Been playing a lot of Gundam vs Gundam: Next Plus in anticipation of Gundam Extreme Versus coming out this december.

Oooh, someone else who likes Vesperia! That game really pleasantly surprised me I thought it would be so-so but it was pretty damn good! I don't think that game got enough credit!

Oh, and epic other games, too. XD

Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine. Probably the best game in the 40k genre so far!

Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I've only just installed it. I've had the game since it came out. XD Just wanted to avoid spoilers.

Ok, I'm beginning to seriously get addicted to Gears 3! I have also been playing Dishwasher: Vampire Smile as well on Arcade. Also a pretty fun game! It's pretty basic but it's very fast paced and pretty satisfying when you own a fight. Oh, and there are random bits where yo get to shred an epic guitar solo as well, what's not to love?

Another one for the re-playing of Final Fantasy IX, I'd almost forgotten how much I loved playing it the first time around, also playing Final Fantasy VI though I've not got as far with that one yet.

Currently back into playing Assassin's Creed, after taking a small break.. and forgetting I even had an Xbox >.> But I still love it, I'm not that far into the game but I'm enjoying throughly

Yep, me too! Well when the EA servers let me in...I hope they sort out their squad joining functions when you're in a Party on the Xbox. There were some points yesterday when me and my mates were on different teams!

It's the mission where you're piloting the Sabre, and it's always towards the end that I keep dying. Through the majority of it I'm fine, it's just the last part. >.<

Ace Attorney: Miles Edgeworth Investigations.

not finished the game yet so please no spoilers!

It's fun though, a little different to the other games in the series what with there being no court case parts. It's all investigations of crime scenes, questioning and trying to figure out what's what BEFORE it hits the court.

Gives you a pretty nice insight into some of the other characters too. It's a pity the 2nd game in this particular one won't be translated (apparently)

Oh also! slowly making my way through Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, 1st playthrough as a Malkavian, not my best choice for a 1st time but apparently the others will be easier apart from the Nosferatu.

It's got the unofficial community patch so it plays better, less bugs and silly things.

The Monkey Island Collection its fantastic!
