OMGOMGOMG, Twilight Sparkle's voice actor is Tara Strong, the voice of everything animated (seriously) including Rikku from FFX! Having a massive fangasm here if this is true.

They've already got Ellen McLain, who is the voice of GLaDOS, confirmed.

Its an interesting topic, to be honest. Most cosplayers I know are LGBT, even though I myself am straight.

The cosplay community is defiantly one of the most open and accepting on the subject. I'm fine with people being any sexuality they want now because I just got used to so many people being open.

OMG I DIDNT REALISE IT WAS TARA STRONG!

We don't "want" to be gay or straight by the way. It's not a choice.
It's really a bit annoying when people in this thread have said similar also about it being a lifestyle.

Neither did I until about a week ago when I was at a friend's flat watching it! They apparently play "listen for Rikku" whenever they watch anything animated. XD Cannot unhear it.

Wait....I'm kita committee and I haven't heard this rumour about Tara Strong.......OMG I HOPE IT'S A SURPRISE FOR ME! *GLEE*

I just really wanted to say that and possibly maybe hint at the rest of the committee that it would be a totally awesome idea.......

Mycroftwave: MLP: FIM which is the abbreviation for my little pony friendship is magic. MIGHT still be on youtube, the uploaders kept having trouble though and the videos kept getting pulled down due to....something. I'll send you a message in a bit because yaknow, I can't outright say that it's ok to download......because it totally isn't kids!....this doesn't look dodgy at all.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that at first, I felt this thread would be a bad idea, not because of anything obvious like being a homophobe (because I assure you, I certainly am not) but I was worried because, as far as I know CI is an open community, meaning you don't need an account to view the forums on here. It's why some things sometimes appear on places like 4chan. I doubt many of you would care though but I just though, I should mention that.

But don't worry, 4chan is crap, don't listen to it

Anyway, practically everyone knows I bat for both teams if you don;t mind my crass euphemisms? (that right?)

If you take a look at my CI profile, you'll see I mostly pick, strong dominating women to cosplay. There is the odd, girly girl and like, 1 crossplay in there but this is something that's weird:

I don't feel comfortable in girly clothes, dresses? can't stand how exposed my arms and legs are, I feel like I should be able to tie a jacket round my waist. I don;t feel comfortable yet I actually LIKE dresses, lolita clothes and such. BUT if you know me, you'll know my normal dress code is very boyish, I almost always have short hair (not that that means anything) and I can never be caught outside without a jacket of some kind.

I find that very odd, I'm all like "I'll totally wear that dress today" I put it on and then go "arghhhhhhh" and fling everything off and put my jeans, shirt, boots and jacket back on.

I would LOVE to crossplay more but I am......stupidly curvy to the point where, the last time I tried, my chest went "NO! YOU SHALL NOT BIND ME DOWN!" and literally burst forth through the binding. So I guess, I cosplay to fit my figure.

I also like cosplaying complete idiots, but that's because I am....a complete idiot.

So I kinda agree about sexuality effects cosplay because I think mine does but I think mine does in a different way. I want to cosplay really cool men and the really cool boyish girls but I don't because my body is like an hourglass and even though I enjoy some of the cosplays I have done, I do feel wrong in a lot of them. It's actually very confusing.

I think I'd class myself as a male woman who likes both sexes regardless of gender or sexuality. I am now waiting to be told there is a thread on 4 chan with "OMG LULU ROSE IS A MAN!" XD

13 Sep 2011 - 12:5169569
LGBT right here =]

Most people I know who cosplay are =]

13 Sep 2011 - 13:2369576
Lmfao Lulu Rose!

That was just a sexual reply! Absolutely loved it! Hahaha them puppies couldn't just stay bound could they?

And see what I mean! It is as aspiration to Cosplay strong confident and dominant women sometimes you are what you Cosplay as they say =D

And I do hope Tara Strong does come in for Kita. Word has it she is hitting the UK for a convention- but whether as to it is Kita is left to be confirmed. She'll be around for 1 month I believe on vacation and work

Out of curiosity, Is anyone Asexual?

Alot of people come out as being gay, bi or hetro..but ive never heard anyone mention Asexualaity?

im not trying to out anyone on some kind of witch hunt ^^ its just of intrest to me.

During high school i thought i may have been Asexual as i just had no desire for anything or anyone, which freaked me out as all my friends around me were VERY sexual people ^^ Recently ive gotten over it XD, i think i was just a bit slow developing/ realising who i am ^^;

Also, Do your families now about your sexuality? and how do they respond to it?
(does anyone else family try and force a sexuality onto them? Mine have tried to convince me im gay before ^^

Ugh, my family always try to label what I am. My mum tries to pass me off as a tomboy >.< . . . she doesn't really understand this kind of stuff, which is understandable.

Since 4chan was mentioned, I might as well say that I've noticed a lot of /cgl/ seems to be lesbians and bisexual females. I know there are more females in cosplay, and there are more LGBT in cosplay, but the proportions present there really shocked me. Especially considering it doesn't seem to be the same way with males at all.

On the note of asexuality, I've gone through a few different "phases" (awful word to use in this context, I am aware) of examining the details of my own sexuality over the last few years. I am most definitely 'gay', but would be very happy in a homoromantic asexual relationship with the right guy.

At the moment, I've just gotten to a point where I try not to worry too much about it. Sexuality is too fluid a thing to pin down to an exact definition anyway. Just be with who makes you happy in whatever consensual way the two, three or more of you wish. If you even want to be with anyone at all.

Also, do you mean "do your family know about your sexuality?" or "have you told your family about your sexuality?" because those are two very different questions. Mums know everything, if mine is anything to go by, at least. XD

It means you'll have a relationship with someone of the same gender, based on attraction by their personality mainly, but you probably wont have sex. Ever. xD
Pretty sure that's what it is anyway.

What Mycroftwave said. Some people call it "marriage". Just kidding. >_>

I thought it was where you might have sex, but you'd have no real desire to, you'd do it more for the partners sake?

Not really. That's personal choice.

This apparently isn't uncommon for asexual people in romantic relationships. But I'm not actually asexual, I enjoy a little romp every now and then. Just saying I could be happy in that position.

EDIT: Position as in relationship. Not the other meaning. >_>

Haha yeah I realised it wasn't you nor that you are asexual. I was just trying to understand asexuality a bit better. Appears I was right, or close to being right lol.

No no, I didn't mean it like that. Sorry, i'm not very good at saying things how I would like ^-^;

I meant that if anyone is LGBT then that's fine as no one can choose who they love. I would never call it a lifestyle, that is seeing it wrongly.

Good question to bring up ^^
My mum is as passive about it as the next person, and my 10 year old sister knows I've always had 'girlfriends' and doesn't know any different.

All my Dad has to say is '..as long as they don't support Rangers, I don't care'

But my Dads side of the Family, oh ho, they think i'm some hard working straight 'A' uni student who doesn't smoke, drink, or bother with those 'BOYS'.

..Not sure how it break it to them =P

Bisexual and proud ^_^

My mum isn't happy about it and my dad disowned me for it.

I'm bisexual as well and many of my friends who cosplay are LGBT too. It actually prompted one of my friends to ask 'Are all cosplayers gay or something?', to which I replied with a plain 'No' and we left it at that.

Also, I actually had no idea what LGBT stood for at first; my first thought was a sandwich.
