LGBT
I was wondering how many LGBT cosplayers are there among us? Not forgetting all the other sexuality's and gender identity's.
I tend to not meet many of them. D:

Oh I really didn't know this (I'm refraining from the Gok Wan Jokes here lol)

Nah I had a feeling. Most of the girl Cosplayers I know here are Lesbian and I'm Proud to say I'm the Straightesr Gay Man alive! God it feels so good to be gay when people don't think you are! Talk about Walk-Around Closet!

Lol nah Its common knowledge...and we homosexuals and trans make Cosplay that little bit more glamorous right?

I hope you're not implying I am (or look like) Gok Wan. I have so many people tell me that I do (mostly when I wear my glasses)... even though I don't look anything like him. Unless you meant something different.

I'm pansexual and genderqueer. It's nice to see other members of the LGBT community ^ ^

I'm straight too!
we will be out of place together lol

I am amazed by how many people are gay or bisexual(not in a bad way I mean ). I am not a homophobe by the way and I have friends who are gay and such and I am completely fine about that!

No, I agree! I have no problem with gay people at all, but I just kinda figured there would be a few but not many. Has to be said, it is quite surprising.

I just thought, does this make us minorities?

Its nice to hear so many people being open about thier sexuality ^^ (personally im straight, but if i fall in love with another lass, no worries XD)

ive know alot of people in the community are openly LGBT, and i think its proboly down to the community itself. Just look at how many things revolve around themes of LGBT!! also although this can be one of the most B*tchiest communities..its also one of the most forgiving and accepting ^^

but..were all human and thats what counts ^^

Personally I'm hetero/straight, but a vast majority of my friends in general, not just cosplay, are LGBT etc.

But the question is... Does it really matter and does it need a forum thread? The equivalent would be me going:

STRAIGHT - Does anyone know any other straight cosplayers, cause I haven't met them yet?!

*shrug* just pointing that one out...

In the end, why still focus on preference when the whole community is so damn forgiving about sexuality. Crossplay is far from unusual... So why even try and identify people's sexuality and just see them as another hobbyist until you get to know them? Be a cosplayer not a gender =3

Don't take this the wrong way XD! It's a pet peeve of mine; why see a sexuality when you can see a person.

EDIT: and to answer the question at hand; many, many lots.

I'm not separating them or anything at all! So you think pride's should be banned as well? Nobody is separating gay from straight here. I was simply asking if there was any other LGBT cosplayers, as I have only come across ONE in my 2 years of cosplaying.
KAY?
You've really not caught me in a good mood so I apologise if you think I'm an asshole.

Not to be a troll...

But that's slightly crass and insensitive of you to say so.

Cosplaying is a facet of a persons life whether it be the biggest facet in their lives or the smallest. And Their sexuality ties into it more often than not. I mean I cosplayed because I wanted to do this character to bad (porn does this to someone) that being him would be the ultimate dream..and it has been.

And sexuality is the biggest drive sometimes. So before you dismiss gender (which is whether you think your a feminine or masculine) and sex (biological) out the window just because it's Cosplay- just be Careful not to tread on people's toes.

I'm not saying you have but you're close.

Sexuality is a heavy part of Cosplaying for people especially me. Whiter they realise it or not. Then again some people are just so obsessed with making stuff that sex has nothing to do with it at all.

Personally- I'd love to see Wakka, Ryu and Basch in a bed together
