My Leliana wig arrived today! (Made up with that since I only ordered it yesterday.) I'll do the braid later because it's wicking me off at the moment XD

Am really getting excited about meeting you all at Kita, even if I am bricking myself about Masquerade!!!

Shield is pretty much done and armour is coming on nicely. After that is done it's just a case of modding a nerf sword and sourcing some brown leather chaps to finish the bottom half of the outfit.

Have even had my hair cut to Alistair's style (much to the amusement of my friends) so I can get used to styling it.

Now just need to find some decent contact lenses so I can see where I'm going. Hope there won't be any objections to a blue-eyed Alistair...

Don't be afraid of doing the masquerade, it ends up being really fun and you'll be with a crowd.

Contact lenses are a savior. I can't see for toffee without my glasses. Best contact lenses I find is to actually go through your opticians and get dailies (If you've not tried them before).

Cosplay updates is nil at the moment(apart from a practice piece of armor). Being lazy/working on another but I have a couple of days off next week so hopefully I can get all the base armor and trousers done.

Also My Anders costume needs slight fixes but that's not even a days worth of work.

Same here about the masquerade! I've never really done anything like it before, but I'm sure it'll be super fun! Really can't wait for this!

As for cosplay progress, I'm still working on the tabard-type thingy, but really just waiting on the d-rings and rabbit fur I ordered to finish it off. I'll be starting on the bracers, greaves and belt pretty soon. My wig and ears have arrived, and I've ordered green circle lenses. I still need to start on my staff as well, eep! Really happy with how it's looking so far, though~

I haven't had chance to get to Abakhan yet to get my materials but my friend said he'd go there with me on Feb 4th. We have to go into Liverpool that day anyway to get our train tickets sorted for Kita so we'll walk up to the shop so I can get my material after that!

Gives me chance to finish off my other Kita cosplays beforehand so I can focus 100% on Leliana

So I may have nicked my friend's idea here, but I've decided that for the evening I'm going to do a modern, hipster-ish version of Merrill~ I know you all probably have your own plans for evening cosplays, but if anybody fancies joining me with this, that would be amazing! xD

I can't wait to see everybody's cosplays! Three months to go, guys!

This is a brilliant idea, unfortunately I've already commited to "King" Alistair for the evening bash *sad face*. Can't wait to see a modern take on Merrill though, bet it'll look awesome!

Getting more excited for Kita by the day!

I'm really happy with how Merrill is coming, just having to play the waiting game now for my rabbit pelts to be finished curing~ And going to get cracking on the leather parts tomorrow. Finally got some progress pics up too, even though they're soooo bad! xD

My shield is pretty much done, but Alistair's splintmail has been a nightmare to build. Hopefully now I've broken the back of it and there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Just a random question, how is everyone planning to cart around their mobile, wallet etc. at Kita?

I'm probably just going to get a small bag that matches the colours of Merrill. Though I'm toying with the idea of making either a halla or a pride demon plushie, putting a pocket into it, and turning it into a bag because I enjoy making plushies far too much. xD

I might sew a pocket into the sash or something.

Got my materials last week (yay!) so i'll be starting on the top tomorrow. Waiting on one last thing for the bottom half of robes which is on order so hopefully it arrives in time!

For Sebastian I've got a pair of trousers done and the top half done. Got a few pieces of armour made.

Also for carrying around stuff I always take a bag with me.

the maker works in mysterious ways. i recently lost the job that was preventing me from going to kita and joining you guys. now with that job gone and a place just bought, i will be there, this means varric is back in action.

I'm getting there lol, still working on Flemeth's wig and starting on the leather top.

Still working on my Tira costume for Midlands MCM at the weekend so I haven't done to much on Flemeth yet lol

asdhfgjkfdsjhag I'm so excited now my armor is almost done :o eeee!

My armour is finally sorted and coming along great (I think o.O)

The scales are finally in place with the corset so just doing the other stuff before I send a week sealing all the foam @.@

For carrying my stuff around I'm hoping that the trousers I wear have pockets. If not i'll just carry a small bag (usually I walk around with my con bag)
