<3 love Dragon Age Origins really need to get the new game lol, I don't think there's anyone I'd suite to cosplay so will have to just take lots of piccies of you guys

Me too! I was quite disappointed with DA2 as a game, it feels that they should've been the other way around as there was a lot taken out gameplay wise.

I'd love to cosplay something from DA/DA2 but probably won't get the chance but I'd love to get a photo of the group if I make it to Kita!

DA2 is not as good as origins,but the character designs are more cosplay friendly since they all have one unique outfit.

personally i think their both pretty good. for 2 they seemed to put more effort in to you companions and streamlined the main character.

I was obsessed with the first one and now adore the second one XD

The first one is great for choice, you can talk to your party whenever you want, chose your race (and origin ololol) and go to whatever village/town you want whenever you want and find something there to do.

With the second one your character comes to life a lot more and the relationships between the party members are much more detailed. Plus with the story you get to see them develop over the 7 odd years and the tension between mages and templars builds.

So both are amazing I think XD Part of me does prefer the way you can interact with people in the first one but I do find the second one epic XD

i just hope number 3 is a nice mix of them both to be honest.

also im doing zevran now to go with efia's morrigan.
so scrap my maybes and such. and i doubt ill be able to make my friends anders and isabela because we had some bad news recently

As for the games, I think both have their merits and are two of my favourite PS3 games. Love the characters SO MUCH in Origins ... Morrigan, Alistair, Zevran, STEN ... I bacome so immersed in the world and played through it like 3 times within a few months. XD The origins aspect makes for so much variation in the storyline.

I don't really get why some people dislike DA2 ... I was SO relieved that they did the Mass Effect thing and have Hawke talk. I find it hard going back to Origins and remembering that the Warden doesn't! In true DA style a lot of the characters are top notch; Anders, Fenris, Varric, Aveline, Isabella ... I especially adore the rivalry between our favourite mage and elf slave boy. <3 I agree though that 3 should combine the best aspects from the first two. They should bring back the gift system ... you could only give like one thing in DA2.

The characters were cool (I especially liked the brooding Fenris) but I didn't like there wasn't really an epic enemy that you're aiming to defeat you're just trying to earn money most of the time, obviously eventually there is AN enemy but still. In Origins you have the darkspawn threat the whole time and have an idea that bad stuffs happening in the world. I also liked the different origin stories and the different races you could choose.

Your decisions seemed to affect stuff a lot more in DA:O like the whole Loghain/Alistair thing and the Morrigan thing. Where as all the decisions I made in DA2 didn't seem to affect anything. There wasn't any greyness in DA2 either, you pretty much knew when you made a decision whether you were helping the Mages or the Templars, it was very black and white and don't get me started on not being able to choose your companions' armour.

Fair enough! I do agree with your points as to the merits of DA:O! I didn't mean my statement quite as I typed it ... I understand the lesser points of DA2, but overall I believe it is a fantastic game. I was going to add something about 'in my opinion' in what I was typing but I got lost in the moment so I forgot XDD;;

Don't worry, I wasn't having a go. I didn't mean it to sound like that, if I did sorry I just much prefer Dragon Age and because I loved it and was so excited by DA2 I was a bit disappointed

dragon age 2 was too short too! and reused areas. but thats more EA then bioware. thanks to them rushing the game out it was unfinished and it showed it. da2 was a good game but it was disappointing in a lot of ways. but i still loved the characters anyway. although i wish anders hadnt changed so much from awakenings. varric was the only comic relief in that game. everyone else took everything too damn seriously.

I'm not sure if I'm going to Kita, but if I do I'll definately be Sebastian ^^

I think I have one friend who might be going so I might tag with him if I can sort out time off work and money.

If I do go I'll be bringing Anders and/or maybe a Sebastian cosplay if I get it done in time.

I totally agree with the gift system! I loved being able to give things to party and make them like me more =[ Fenris has never liked me and it makes me sad xD I'm replaying it now though and am gonna side with the templars *gasp* I'm gonna feel horrible at the end! D:

I really want to attempt a Shale at some point but I'm definitely not ready for that yet. That would mean remembering back to electronics and getting stuff to light up.
