Okay, I know this is insanely early, but I’ve been dying to post this up for months now, but I promised myself (with messengercat’s help) that I wouldn’t post it up until Ayacon had gone because then that really would be too early. However, what pushed me into actually posting it now is that we've potentially got half the group already.
Anyway, as I’m sure none of you are interested in the back story to this idea (there really isn’t much to it, I just went through a SP stage and started drawing) so I’ll get straight to the point.

Me and Messenger are trying to put a Steampunk Final Fantasy VIII group together for next year’s Amecon. We’ve already got some people who have signed up, but we’d love to throw it open to everyone. It would be great to get as many people as we can for this (my dream would be to have the whole group).

Anyway, recently Sketch McDraw posted up a plan for a plan for SP Zack and said he was interested in getting an FF SP series group together so we agreed join forces and do this together. So if you aren’t interested in VIII, you can join us as another character from another series.

I love this idea very much since I saw you draft it at Minami If I do decide to go to Amecon next year, I'll be interested to know what Edea will look like Steam punk ^_~ - I'll be the shortest Edea EVER! XD but if I don't I'm sure I'll have a lot of fun trying to make it - your designs are amazing!! x

Here's Edea. Sorry for the crappy photos (I don't have any access to a scanner). I struggled with what to do with her back..thing...though maybe I should have just done a cog with clock hands anyway. I did the second one because I had the idea for it and had to do a quick picture of it, unfortunately it's very clear that there's a veil at the back.



I don't know if you wanted to see it, but, as I'm posting up Edea for Pandora, here's what I did for Laguna. Otherwise feel free to ignore it completely. I don't know it's a bit boring (was gonna give him a top hat, but it didn't seem like a Laguna thing to wear; too much falling off of cliffs). But you may know how to play with SP and liven it up better than me (this is my first time playing with SP, and I'm learning as I go along).



Oh, sorry for 'Laguna is awesome' written on the shoulder strap. I doodled it on in a cafe and forgot to rub it off before taking the photo.

The second one I did as an alternative because I really wanted to play with her face a bit more. Afterwards I realized that it was a bit like a before the parade and after the parade versions. At least you aren't doing Ultimecia...

okay, so now that Amecon is open for registration, I'm making a quick update.
We should have a Zell now and our Irvine switched to Laguna, so Irvine is now free Me and MC are signed up, so no matter what we will be there.

Also, if you wanna do other characters/other games in the series, feel free to join us. The more the merrier

I had this all on the FFR's facebook group and we went nuts with it. I'd love to participate but I'm not sure about Amecom yet since it might be where I'll debut Wild Tiger from Tiger and Bunny.

However if planning doesn't go right and he falls through.

Well I Woudnt mind doing Seifer (bout the only guy besides from laguna Id wanna cosplay from 8 XD) but doing Angeal is also tempting, especially as I already have the wig and woudnt mind doing a steampunk version of the bustersword, but the gunblade could be modded too....choices choices XD

It'd be so cool if you join us. It would be nice to get the whole group for VIII, but then it would also be nice to have some characters from other games as well. Angeal is awesome! The choices are tough

Hmmmm I can seeing doing seifers gunblade to make it look more like a flintlock rifle.....with a few cogs by the base, hmmm possibilities possibilities XD....But Angeal.......I guess slate me for Seifer for now, just so we can try and get the full group XD

For I think the second time in this thread I have just gone "Angeal!" in a rather over enthusiastic manner in the middle in the office, but that's because the guy does not get enough love, Seifer would also be fun to see.

Well we do have Natsumi as Fuijin...maybe we should get Dalbir as Raijin then. He told me he'd do one but didn't know which.
