Looks like Soul Calibur is going to be extra popular next year, I guess SCIV has given everyone inspiration ^_^

I've been thinking of one of Seung Mina's costumes, either from SCII or III....even IV....there's just too many to choose from >.<

Yayy! Moaarrr SC. I would to join as I missed out joining in at Amecon (ran out of costume budget). I will either be doing Raphael or Siegfried. Depending on how abitous I want to be. If Greyskull dose his Raphael then I'll try and get Siegfried done. Its will be better as I won't need a wig for it.

LOL angel_aiko thats exactly what my thoughts were when I first thought of cosplaying Ashlotte. When I first saw those first images of her many months ago I was like "OMG I HAVE to cosplayer her cos it's gorgeous!" and I just love complicted costumes xD (cos I'm a glutten for punishment?) and then the more I thought about it the more I dwelled on things like "How would I actually sit down...cos that's all a rigid metal frame I'd be making..." and "And how am I going to actually get that down to the con cos that dress will be rigid and that frame won't fold..." and then I debated on where I would put it at home cos I live in a flat xD

In the end, I think I've decided to momentarily pass on her and stick with my love of Tiras SC4 2P x3

Good luck to all those doing Ashlotte! ^^ lol

After the stress I encountered making my Seung Mina II costume for AmeCon this year, I intend to get some more wear out of it! so those events may be a good time

Although I do like quite a few of the other SC outfits though so I might end up making a different one (uh-oh sucker for punishment! )

It was great being part of an SC group at AmeCon, so I look forward to doing it again

Ashelotte
I'm also being seduced by her costume ._.; but then I'm a Victoriana enthusiast... the dress hoops are just... so very, very appealing... But I have looked at Setsuka's Victorian dress and fallen in love too ._.; and a couple of the others ; ;

haha all the costumes are just great hey? : D
I really wanna do Xianghua's 2nd Player oufit too! But it'll have to wait~

Uni, is that the one with the short white jacket and the shorts? But with all that gorgeous detailing?

I SO wanna do that one some time. Just because of all the details!

Uni, I think you'll be fab as Xianghua. I'll look forward to which ever costume you decide to do.

I'm just looking forward to being part of a SC group in general since I couldn't take part in the one at Amecon.

so Setsuka's kimono, going to have to hand paint it (oh the hours...) Anyone got a suggestion for the best fabric to make it from??!? (yes i know it's early and I have 2 other costumes to make before then, but I like to keep an eye out for bargin fabric deals!!)

I would sugguest a satin. Maybe like a duchess satin. The only downside is that I've found satin a pain to paint. I think silk would be good as well as you can get silk paints but it can be pricey. btw Loved your LeBlanc costume. Would of loved pics of it but had no camera on me at the time.

I might look into Kilik from SC4. I have the staff from when I throw together Kilik's costume from SC1 for a gaming event. I sadly don't have the costume any more but still have the staff. I use it to parctise my Bo-jitsu with.

So at the mo I'm looking at Rapheal, Siegfried and Kilik. All from SC4

Our group just did Soulcalibur! We'll be wearing them in a skit for October 08 London expo if people want to see them.

We've got soulcalibur 2 Ivy and Kilik, and a Soul calibur 3 Nightmare. We'll be wearing different costumes (possibly voldo and Yoshimitsu) during the day though, so look out for us ^^.

No pictures up yet, but we only joined yesterday, so we need to haul them all onto the net.

(Also, for the above post, I would actually recommend a suiting fabric. I find satin tends to be too stiff/light, and suiting fabric hangs better making it look more like a silk kimono. Linen is also really good (we made kilik's coat out of it) but more expensive, and creases really easily)

24 Sep 2008 - 12:116387
hmm suiting fabric...might be nicer to paint the satin too...scuttles off to fabric shop to recon....

I've been wanting to do a certain Ivy costume for a while. I think it's from SC2, but I'm having trouble finding it online, all my reference pics are other cosplayers.
It's the red corset/tailcoat with gold griffins on the back.

24 Sep 2008 - 15:546396
I know the one you mean, Amy-Lou, I thought about it myself ^_^ It's a beautiful design. I'm not sure, but I think it's actually from SC1. I have a couple of pictures but they're small and poor quality, unfortunately.

lol. Lex has given me 1 year to start making Ashlotte before she officially steals my right to cosplay her first
She even offered to help me make the outfit... so that it would fit both of us... such a nice friend XD

Tho on estimating cost, I need to find a couple hundred pounds lying around somewhere.
x
