Fur suit help?
Im doing shuichi's adorable dog costume that he wears and attacks yuki with *Hehe*

and i have NO IDEA were on earth to find a fur or normal baggy full body suit >_<

i thought about buying a white boiler suit, then dying it the right collor and then using some patches of felt to hide the zip and so on and then simply sew a hood on.
But would that work?

Any help i would be very happyz foarr ^_^

Hmm personelly I wouldn't use fur 1. it's expensive and 2. In the anime it dosn't look like fur. You could for th ears though that would be cute. I would use normal material used on cosplay clothes *is an idoit and doesn't know what that is lol*

I've always though it looked like fleece, which you can get at most fabric shops.

Hum... fleece sounds good, but i might boil xD
i think i might stick with the boiler suit, and yeah, it dont look like fur i guess, Yaaay its gonna cost less xD
i think ill use fleece for the ears and for the patches though ^_^

For the record, Boiler suits are VERY WARM ;; One might even say.. you boil in them ._.;

I'd actually buy a Mcalls costume pattern for the fursuit (I can't remember off hand what the number is) But its easy to find (and make). I think I'd Use Fleece as before mentioned to make it with, and applique patches on.

I don't think a thin fleece will be as hot as a boiler suit TBH.

Hmm just had an idea maybe you could attach to the body material fur chibi paws.

boiler suits are that warm ._.
even the light weight ones i can scam of one of my dads work shop catalog thingys xD
you know what i meen. xD!
not the paper or plastic ones, the fabric ones that are lightweight oness?

also, i think ive kinda left it a bit late to make one which is why i made a thread asking were i can buy one xD
cause i have nurse roxas to make and sort out to, and i have to make yuki, so shuichi is just a extra, that i REALY wanna do. xD

I'd go with the fleece too, especially as it's a really forgiving fabric if you make a mistake (doesn't show any unpicked bits and bobs) and you'll feel all snuggly once inside.

It'll be just as warm as a normal boiler suit, but you'll look cuddly like a puppy.

Shuichi's dog suit always reminded me of a kigurumi (http://www.sylvainbouchard.com/images/kigurumi.jpg) and they are made from fleece.

Ooo, i wonder if i can find one of them things in a cream collor xD
i seems everyones saying fleece, so ima have to look and see what works out cheeper, buyign the boiler suit and adding fleece blobs or from scratch >__<
im also gonna have to be thinking about time like i said

as word of warning even the thin material ones are still get very hot inside. My boyfriend wears his to do his art in and within 10 minutes he's baking ^^'. Plus adding material will make abit cosier.

also if you do plan to dye one remember the elastic parts will not dye, as tested by my boyfriend.

I think you'll best to look at kigurumin a form of japanese fashion wearing pjs/baby grow looking clothingKigurumin on Flickr

orrrrr go buy a cheap fancy dress baby grow maybe? sorry if it's not much help ^^' Theres ones going under £20 on ebay

probably too late a reply, but an EXCELLENT, cheap and fast place to order from is:

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Graces-Fabrics

and yes use fleece as it's much easier to work with and will make the perfect texture for the cosplay you need
