Hi all!


I'm sure that some if not most of you all will know me in some way or other. But I'm the lead captain of the Final Fantasy Round-Up Cosplay Group,
And I entertained an idea with the Round-Up gang a while back and knew it needed a lot of time to organise.

But essentially We'd like to attempt a world record for the most amount of cosplayers in one given area. And I know what we have more than 30,000 people attending the MCM expo in London... Why not?

So if you'd like to get involved- all you have to do is turn up at the Statue and Stairs at 12pm on the Saturday of May's MCM Expo.


Please spread the word! Let's get a record break in!

The record stands at 340+ so far =S

And if there are any big groups! Make sure you're close together!!

Why don't you do this for October? May seems a little far away to be suggesting something like this.

I've always wanted to do a big FF cosplay project, this sounds like the perfect reason to! I'll do it ^^

I don't often go to expo, I don't really like it, but for something like this I may.

To do it for October would be too short notice for many of us with other commitments, work, children etc. and we'll want to do our best for the cosplays!

So let's aim for May and give people time to prepare / sort out work etc. so we can have a bigger crowd (not all of us have money / ff costumes ready!).

I'd have to in order to make this attempt otherwise they might as well cull half the people.


Now I've got two valid concerns for why we can't do it in October.

-Not enough time to organise enough people
-Memorabillia and Britains Next Top Model exhibitions

And thens reasons to do it in May

-More time to plan

However May also heralds the precusor to the Olympics and also the possibility that people may not be able to attend.

Until consensus is gathered And a demand for which expo which should d this- I'm not sure when this will happen


And as for not liking Expo's that's a shame. However it is the biggest venue with the biggest turn out.

May do eventual right now it's just set on may because there isn't Enough time to gather people for October and get everyone interested

Couldn't you shoot for both?
Try for October, but only say, 3,500 people turn up, then you can try again for May.
But what if you try for October, and 6,000 people turn up. Congratulations! But then, so that people going in May don't feel left out, try and exceed this new number in May?

Best of both worlds?

So surely you could just go to expo and ask everyone in cosplay to convene in the same place?

Well... I suppose it could....

I'll contact the Record holders at some point in my busy life and ask them to send a representative to see how many cosplayers will be at the scene. The Record is 5,000 so we have a bit to beat..

however, Facebook and word of mouth should get everyone there..


We should try and get the world Record at 11pm... That way it doesn't clash with any meets..

However my big concern is that it clashes with Photoshoots, Meets and so on so forth, which is why I suggested not October but May,
