Parka hood problems
At the moment I'm trying to make a parka for an Ice Climber costume. I picked up a pattern to make one. The parka currently looks like this:

The problem is right now the hood. The pattern to make the hood looks like this:

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d40/konoha_ice_climber/Cosplay%20progress/100_0481.jpg

And cut it looks like this:

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d40/konoha_ice_climber/Cosplay%20progress/100_0479.jpg

The problem is that the hood seems too small. Also that the on the Climbers' parka it looks seperate.

Does anyone have an idea of how this can be sorted?

as for the hood looking detatched. it also looks like theres the fur lining between the bottom of the hood and the neck of the parker.

so elongate the bottom of the hood so it draps a little when it's on your head and sew it to the rest as normal.

ad for the hood being too small, you'll also be ading fur to the edges so that will sort that problem at least by a little. it not ad a couple cm extra to the edge of the hood pattern. ^^just stick little strips of paper to the original pattern piece.
bear in mind if it's too much it will go floppy where yoyr forehead ends. ^^

if you were unsure you should have tested it out on scrap fabric really...... ^^'
