Well, our group is staying at ABC motels. Our room is £30 a night and sleeps four (we have four people already though).

There is a bus nearby, but other than that I can't be any more help

Do you have a link?

Abc motels site

though Booking.com has cheaper rooms

Not my first con either, but still this is only my 4th con (every convention has been a new one so far, haven't visited a con twice yet XD) so I'm still kinda new, I think, maybe, I dunno!

Sephirayne - Well, the Premiere Inn we're staying at is £257 for flexible rates (I think??? I didn't book it, ask Freyarule XD) http://www.premierinn.com/en/checkHotel/COVLOC/coventry-south-a45 - it's about a 5-10min drive away I think (although if it's just you, I have one more room in the car as I'm driving! But in the evenings we're probably taxi-ing as I want to drink XD)
However my other friend recommended the Travelodge which has a flexible rate of £169.60 ( http://www2.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_book/rooms_rates.php?hotel_id=398 ). He says it's about a 5min taxi drive away so it's not bad. Only problem is as with all Travelodges - you have to pay in advance. But it's considerably cheaper than Premiere Inn.

Prices are for 4 days btw (Thurs-Mon) so obviously it'd be cheaper for either if you stayed Fri-Mon

They're the only hotels I've been told about by friends I'm afraid, I actually did no research into hotels for once OTL.

The http://www.premierinn.com/en/hotel/COVBAR/coventry-city-centre my friend and I are in (not the same as CrystalNeko's) is costing us £139 overall for Thu-Mon and it's 5 miles away :3

Be aware that the trek is a pain in the backside... We stayed at the PTI last time and taxis were costly and the awkwardness of the trip was annoying.

Can't be any worse than our accommodation for Kitacon... we stayed at my uni campus in Birmingham. We had to leave for a train before midnight, take a 10 minute train journey and then a 15 minute walk through the middle of Birmingham. We got a taxi back on the last night and it cost us like £20 D:

This time, I'm doing some research and finding some decent taxi firms that I may be able to get a hold of and get some rough rates for beforehand.
