Maybe not intentionally... Well, if they do, it's for more of an image. I mean seeing as I have considered using a sign myself (Never actually done it, and I don't think I will, judging from the amount of people on here who will... Probably think less of me for it.) But I'm pretty happy to go up to someone and start talking to them. To be honest I didn't know so many people thought that way about signers, I think there could just as easily be people out there who perhaps don't realise how horrible/shallow/creepy other people who use signs actually can be...

Free Hug signs are okay, but just takes the p*** when people just are like harsh to you after just cause you don't want a hug, on a few occasions i was just trying to find some people before they left, this was like a year ago, and a group of people saw me and came up to hug me, and i didn't have much time and they wouldn't let me go and were being a little immature, i just didn't want an effin hug and plus there is always next time...

those with will do yaoi for money/hug/cookies or whatever should just grow up a little, its the same thing really, and i do not trust those with a yaoi paddle, my god they are freaking painful.

The first time I saw a free hugs sign I thought it was fun. That was 7 years ago and he was the only person doing it (even then, it was on a mini white board, so he could change the message every now and then. I think the actual message was 'panda likes hugs'...he was dressed as a panda, before you ask). 7 years down the line...yeah, not so fun and original

I could run in my new rocks did plenty of that when I was young (getting up to mischief and running from the law) some good memories

I find Vans/duffs/etnies the comfiest trainers due to the flat base I find dc's too puffy plus I have flat feet so it's easier to put my support insoles in the vans

We never took any turd from them there was always fights every saturday on the green (the public hangout in town) who would win: some chavs in nike trainers and mera peak or moshers/goths with studded newrocks/belts/accesories and chains....Yeah I thought so.
But anyway yeah I miss mine I want another pair but at £130+ pricey

I think the hugging situation depends.. I don't mind giving hugs sometimes, but I think it depends on whether you get asked nicely or if someone actually runs up to you at full force. I also don't mind giving hugs, but I'm not keen on people who have the actual 'Free Hugs' signs.
At May Expo I was dressed as Halloween Sora with a rather large keyblade prop which was quite fragile in places, and I had a massive group of kids run up to me - (which is always nice when people appreciate your work), - but they all crowded around me and hugged me.. and it was awkward and I couldn't move and also they almost broke my keyblade which made me go ":\" Luckily one of them said something along the lines of "oh be careful, we don't want to break his prop", but it did kind of put me on edge!
I think it's fine when it's someone who asks for a hug due to appreciation of your character or work, but I don't really like people who have the free hugs signs, with the sole purpose of going around and hugging everybody possible.
