Hi there new comer welcome to CI ^^ hopefully you'll enjoy the company/crowd here as there are quite a few lovely nice cosplayer I've been her for a small while now and love it :3 here are loads of cons held in the close london area to get you started, like MCM expo, which just ended a week ago and coming soon is the London Film Comic Con and also Hyper Japan , as for cosplaying characters, I'd say start off with something simple if you'd like, or daring if you got the skills, and for knowledge I say just do lots of research and asking around for advice.

Good luck and have fun!

Hello, Raygen!
Welcome to Cosplay Island. Its a lovely site for cosplay with very friendly people, i'm sure you'll enjoy it here!
As other people have suggested, maybe start with an easy character. My first was Ash Ketchum from Pokemon.

There are loads of people here who will be willing to help with any problems you may have. Good luck with your cosplay. Oh, and I must say your English is really good ^-^
