Cosplays you want to do but don't think you have the right skill or enough money to make?

I certainly do.

Harley Quinn from Batman, she is one of my favourite super villains in the whole world. But not only do I have a chronic fear of sewing Lycra I have a chronic fear of sewing anything bigger than an apron in general.

I might try next year at Harley for London Film and Comic (a whole year away!) or maybe a collectormania, but I don't earn enough to by loads of Lycra, because I know I'm going to keep failing XD

i hear they're going to have a cosplay DIY workshop table thingie. maybe you could get tips on lycra from them. tbh, that's my plan, 'cos i'll probably try lycra for vegeta's gloves

Need I say anymore why hes a dream cosplay? T-T that armour is incredible, I have a couple of ideas and I'm tempted to try something small like part of an arm or shoulder just to test my theories out. Gaaaah Siegfried why do you tempt me so? D:

Siegfreid is a sexy bish, but that armor is something special.

ooh, that just reminded me of another one. nightmare would be awesome, but the armour and mutated arm scared me...though his 2p costume in soul calibur 2 (basically a shirtless seigfreid with the arm) would skip out the armour entirly...the arm's still a scary piece of work though lol

queen odette from Odine sphere is another one. considering she has a fleshless arm thats just bones..... is hard to re-create.

You could try and find a really good artist to like, paint it onto your arms before a convention. Airbrushing onto it would look better, but face paint would probably work too.

I wanted to do her once and my friend Izzy offered to do the arms for me. But then I went off the idea, as Millia Rage somehow looked more attractive in my cosplaying eyes XD

I agree with you threadstarter, mine would be Harley too (well if Im honest it would be Mr J, but as much as I adore crossplay, I highly doubt I could pull it off), so my realistic dream cosplay is Harley!! (Maybe in a year or two, lycra scares me!!)

The problems being, well... skinny arms and legs, the dreaded lycra, and figuring out a decent way of working the masks (I'd love to be able to do interchangeable facial expressions like Hex does, but can't think of any practical way to do it...)

i know it's not as good, but carry spare masks around with you. then you could change em for photos.

Oh yes, I'd already gotten that far! The problem is how to attach them to my face. That head-dress of hers wouldn't exactly make it easy to just use elastic...
