Just wondering how excited everyone is that its less than a week away!

I..dont feel very excited! I dont know if its the just ending chickenpox..the fact I have a ton of costumes to wear and take, in a huge case..getting there on a train..or the fact I just have a sore throat at the moment..I cant seem to get into the spirit of it!

Maybe I will be better when I'm there.

Oh I'm excited.
Stupidly excited really.

I have lists littered about my room at the moment, check and double checked making sure I have everything.
Food has been prepared that we're bringing with us. Cosplays are complete with a week-ish to spare. Cosplays are ironed, and away in their suit bags ready for transportation (I like being prepared).

All that's really left to do is actually do the main bit of packing. Which I'll be doing on Thursday as I have the day off.

Im glad to hear it!!! 2 wigs I have need cutting, and some glue on a cardboard sword needs adding but thats it.

Oh, and tape on my Tidus boots but I'm doing that when there.

in any case, i'm travelling to leicester and staying there for 3 nights. i've already paid for everything

I am so excited about Amecon, it shall be my first convention (not counting recon which is tomorrow for me) I know my cosplays won't be great because I'm a total noob but it'll still rock going there to the panels and meeting new people and buying lots of things
Just finishing off my costumes now, almost done them all... my only problem is wigs. I'm not old enough to have an ebay account or card so I'm panic buying wigs tomorrow. I know thats not a good thing.

Firstly, nothing wrong with being a noob .

Secondly, Ebay is evil, it takes all my lovely hard earned money away from me >(..

I've done Expos, but everyone keeps telling me AmeCon is nothing like the Expos, so I have no idea what to expect!

I'm just really looking forward to it!

And it really doesn't matter if your cosplays look n00b-ish or not. The main thig is to enjoy yourself!

I hate people at Expos or conventions who won't give other people the time of day because they're cosplaying elitists or something.

So someone is new to cosplaying, and their outfit may not look as amazing as someone else's, but that doesn't mean they didn't put just as much, if not more effort into their cosplay.

But thats just me. Hopefully there won't be too many (or any) of those at Ame!
/ranty ramble

This is my first Amecon too - and I confess I am more nervous than I am excited

I went to Expo in October but I understand this is a lot more relaxed than that (phew). I think I'm just apprehensive at being a noob and not knowing what to expect, really. Plus the fact that even though I've been working on my costume since the year dot - okay, two months - it won't be anywhere near as lovely and stunning as half of the costumes there so I will feel somewhat inferior.

But I'm definitely going - so at least we can all be noobies together!

Argh, I'm not even close to ready yet! Stupid paid work getting in the way of my cosplay!

Me and my friends will be up bright and early (for the Expos we get up at about 6 or 7 to be there with our press passes).

I highly doubt you'll be the only one in full costume at that time of day! So don't worry! ^^ Besides, it a convention, people expect others to be in cosplay!

Gaaah, I'm part excited, part nervous/worried I won't finish some costumes in time!
I have a pair of boots I need for 2 costumes still in the post, and a pair of gloves.
Still need to make a huge prop for Lady, plus weapons & targe for Rikku...

A suit jacket...aand a few other small bits and pieces...

Thank god I have all tomorrow and Wednesday off to work on things XD

Yay! I'm excited but also panicy as I've messed up two of my armour plates for Sephiroth. So still have alot to do. Looking forward to seeing everyone and peeps cosplays.
