Making gloves look like this?
Hey cosplay people

I want to cosplay as Madman and was wondering if anyone has some spare advice to give me. I want to get blue gloves that look like this

I'm not sure how to make gloves look like this. Is there a place where I can just buy them in that shade of blue or would I be better off trying to make them myself? If so, does anyone have a template or something which would make the wrist pieces look all loose like that?

First time cosplayer, so be gentle

I dunno about making them, could be a little fiddly unless you have a pattern.

http://www.amazon.com/Rubies-Costume-Co-Lady-Gloves/dp/B0046L7HNC These are pretty blue, and might work? If you were to attach a band of fabric around the wrist in the same colour it might look similar?

I've made gloves a little similar to this just as a bit of recycling. I actually re-did them last november, if I can find them I'll get a photo for you.

Originally I had a pair of elbow length gloves which at first I folded down sewed into place and added a button on the cuff.

When I re-worked them, I liked the width of the cuff so I marked it with pins, unfolded the glove and cut out the middle part. So I was left with a glove that ended about two and a half inches up my forearm and then the other end that would have originally been at my elbow.

I stitched the two pieces back together with the upper arm piece inside out so it could be folded back down and the professional stitch was visible at my hand.

For that picture it might be worth then folding the free edge (the professionally stitched edge) a little bit and hand stitching it your wrist line.

I found it really straight forward and effective, don't know if my explanation could be described the same way, I at least hope it gave you something to try.

You can buy white cotton gloves off ebay and just dye them blue. Cotton is very versatile and will dye easily, and the gloves are cheap.

Great, thanks for all the ideas! I think I'll buy the white ones and try to dye them first. If that doesn't work I'll go with the other suggestions. Thanks again!
