Im making a ninja copslay for my boyfriend, but the top half i have no idea how to make! Its like a pain martial arts top with a belt. anyone know how to do this or know of any free paterns on the web?

hmmmm...... well you can find a kimono/haori pattern us that without the sleeves and ind a simple sleeve pattern. (they're pretty easy) but really the best way to do a cross-over type kimono-y top is a pattern. it's much easier to use than difficult-to-follow interwebz instructions too. ^^

Like Hexi said your best bet is doing a kimono-esque top. Kimono are sickeningly easy to make. The pattern consists of 6 rectangles of fabric and a collar! I made mine just the simple traditional style and just wore it open. If you like the look of mine I can give you tips and help! You can PM me whenever you like!
