hair dye vs wig
i need to have short brown hair for a cosplay im working on but having difficulty finding a decnet short brown mens wig. the only decent one that looked good was lots of money and spent way to much already tryin to get to london film con, and dragon con. all the others look cheap and nasty

i could dye my hair... but then i dont really wana lose my blonde locks.. plus its not the right style anyway so would need it cutting and has taken me ages to grow it

any tips on good places for wigs.. or any tips on coloring hair that is temporay

thanks in advance peeps :o)

Just saying that if your hair is light blonde, DON'T dye it brown (this goes for anyone else thinking of it). If you must, go to a salon...where it will cost a lot because it will have to be done in increments and you may need to get your hair stripped (which is very damaging to your hair).

I say this because I am both naturally and artificially blonde and even dark blonde store-bought dyes make my hair go orange. Temporary ones especially. It took about a year of dyeing to go from my natural strawberry blonde to a shade of brown that wasn't partly orange. And then it was way too much upkeep for me, so I went back blonde, which again took a year or so of gradually going lighter.

A good wig will almost always look better than real hair.

If you look in the right places, you should be able to find some good quality wigs.

This is my favourite wig store - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Wig-Fashion
Their prices, service and quality are the best! The wigs always look exactly like the pictures so I always buy from them when I can.

If you want to see what their quality is like, check out my Sealand, Luke Triton and Gumi Megpoid cosplays because I got those wigs from them ^^

Most of their wigs are designed as womens wigs but I think you could work with one of the shorter ones.
