Aha! That I can answer, not only will be able to change down there, you can check your stuff AND it gets transported to the other end of the walk so you can pick it up.

This looiks so cool! But does anyone know roughly how many people would be going? Cause I'd like to go but not sure if my mates can make it, so it'd be nice to be walking alongside LOTS of Cosplayers, safety in numbers and all that ^w^

I'm definitely going with Storme now. Hopefully will have a cosplay of Black Jack ready by Sunday.

btw guys if you're going the organisers would appreciate it if you register - the link is at the bottom of the page CPU posted - it'll really help them prepare for numbers. All they need is your name, email and the costume you might be going in.

Do you think the organisers would have a list (or at least a number) of who/how many people are going? Cause by the looks of things I'll be goin by myself in a mascot style Cosplay I'm currently working on and once again am a lil nervous bout people *coughchavscough* who might think to start something or pick on people. Once again safety in numbers!

aaah man! I would LOVE to do this! but I really don't see how I could get to London by myself dressed as Talon, as its not the sort of costume I could change into there... DAMMIT!!

No idea, but 50+ people have said they're going on their events page: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=193989523947313, and rumour has it that over 100 of the 501st will be there. Since they have changing facilities, you could always try to spot other cosplayers first, and parade together?

Will you be okay in a mascot cosplay for the whole duration of the parade, though?

Arghhhh~ that's annoying. Do you have a London-based friend who can lend you their home for getting ready?

I've made the mascot out of a lightweight material and the head has a HUGE breathing hole (covered with a breathable tapestry canvas) so I should be okay. But I'll be sure to have some iced drinkin water on me just in case.

It'll really be a test run for this Cosplay as I am making it to go to MCM in May, then I saw this thread and thought AWESOME I WANNA GO AND BE IN THAT! And since me nan lives in london and we're headin out for a meal on the monday I thought I'd crash at hers and have myself a much needed day of Cosplaying madness! Lol Sadly there aren't many opotunities to Cosplay here in the land of round abouts

Land of roundabouts... MK or Swindon, I guess? XD

That sounds cool... looking at the parade route http://www.sci-fi-london.com/festival/2011/programme/event/easter-parade/route we'll be by the water so if it's a nice day it should be pretty breezy. If it rains though... >__>

The whole route looks like it'll be great for photos, actually! 8D

Yeah I'm staying with family in London as well, and luckily I won't need to work on Monday so there's no need to rush back home afterwards!

btw there's an after-festival party if you're the party type. 8D http://www.sci-fi-london.com/festival/2011/programme/event/be-koko-festival-after-party

And hopefully I'll be able to find some of meself so I can see what may need tweeking on me Cosplay before MCM in May

The site says the route is meant to take about 3 hours and there's refreshments after too apparently.

Considering the heat we're getting at the moment I shall prob be wearing my Mew cosplay- less clothes! XD
