Having recently completed work on my Steampunk project I wanted to find a new creative outlet. Having always been a fan of military history and piston technology I was drawn to Dieselpunk.

A little research taught me that the internal combustion engine is king. The genre primarily revolved around the interbellum period up until 1945. This leaves a huge amount of scope in both fashion/culture/techonology.

Decided that I want to do a Dieselpunk version of my Steampunk OC for Aya or any event in the future really. This thread is just an ideas pool and register of interest!

Yes! fantastic! im a very big fan of the DP genre as its a natural building point on steampunk! Im really hoping to get some dp stuff done in the future! mabye ayacon

I'm thinking about creating a dieselpunk look for Dr.Knight, but that probably won't be until the end of the year now since I've already planned my costumes for this con season.

I'm trying to get mine done for Aya. Hopefully will come together! Be nice to get a group going!

Former fine art student, my fav style has always been art deco and dieselpunk screams Streamlining and chic.

never herd of the term before but after looking in to it i found its based around a love of films/books/style that i love, will keep on looking in to it and hopefully make an out fit

I have been wanting to do dieselpunk for a very very long time now. I am SO in on this. Although only problem with aya is that it would be too hot to wear a greatcoat.
I already have some clothes I'm considering modifying for diesel purposes as well as some I'm watching online at the moment.
Have prop ideas designed too.

I think once everyone has decided on a 'look' for thier project. We see if we can find an artist to do a crew pic. Like all the crew stood in front of a warplane or something suitabley diesel!

Bit bored tonight and had a bash at sketching a Dieselpunk HMS Valkyrie. Using elements taken from contemporary warships and a bit of imagination. Not finished yet but it's coming along ok.

I'll most likely be a German. Love their aesthetic. Suppose I'll have to be the baddie at the side. XD

No matter the dieselpunk story their aestheic is always something I adore. Especially the GGG in Bloodrayne.

Well I really have Filet out my character alot last night! Gonna grab a couple of model kits and kitbash a DP plane together from existing designs! Im gonna use the american Guardsman as a base for my plane the "Green Guardsman" it will do to help me think about my character more! This is gonna be Uber fun!
