I've really been getting in the mood for AyaCon this week and starting to get ready to work on the costumes I want to do.

It may be a while off (not that it matters because as cosplayers we all know that time between one convention and another simply doesn't exist) but has anyone else started work on their costumes and more importantly what are y'all making?

I'm working on a Zack Fair, I've been working on it for months now, damn work getting in the way of cosplaying!!

I'm also considering the Cardboard Tube Samurai from Penny Arcade and a currently secret one that I might or might not do, as I can imagine it'd get reasonably warm (not as warm as a fur suit but warm enough).

Summer conventions are always the best ones~ I am stupidly excited for this one though! No reason apart from the amazing atmosphere~

Currently my line up consists of ;- North Star Fairy(OC), Abel Nightroad(Empire), Rainbow Dash and possibly Madam Red.

My first Ayacon this year C: my cosplay-line up is very un-finalised because I'm just stupidly busy right now, the only one I can say for definite is Rose's Mother from Homestuck, my significant other is going as John's Dad. Also might possibly do Dinah's cello dress from Bizenghast, maybe rewear Jewellery Bonney.

Any tips for a first-timer? What sort of things normally go on, what parties/nightlife are like etc?

The Summer conventions kept raising their age limit whenever I turned the right age (i.e. when I was 16 they raised it to 18), but now I'm 18 so there's NOTHING stopping me from going :B

Although I once again have stupid amounts of cosplay planned, trying not to do any bulky costumes though, I cba to enter anything so just nice comfy costumes for meeeee

Costumes consists of Rise (Persona 4), Mitsuru (Persona 3), Yuki (Vampire Knight), Applejack (MLP) and Yuri (Angel Beats!) as definites. Along with Princess Tutu, Izaya (DRRR!), Asuka (Evangelion) and Seth (Trinity Blood) as maybes.

I really need to stop being roped into groups but they're more fun so I can't help it orz. Was originally going to stay off-site to make it cheaper but you know what... I might just stay on-site due to the number of costumes I have orz.

This will be my first Aya, and my friends' (who I'm staying with) first ever con! So very very excited!

I diiiiiiiiid have Tsumigi Kotobuki planned but sadly it didnt fit in with mine or my friends planned groups >.< I may bring more cosplay for the evenings.

I'll be there for my second Ayacon (Birthdaycon! YEAH!) and dunno what I'm cosplaying yet LMAO

It's my first Aya & birthday con too.
I only have one cosplay set in stone. The others I'm still deciding on between Season 02 Digimon's TK & orange jump suit Mukuro & Denmark.

If I find a job before membership is full, it shall be my first Ayacon also .

Although, travel and accomodation will drain all my funds so I'll have to bring an already completed cosplay. Nemesis Jill and Luna Lovegood are most likelies and all I need for Saeko Busujima is a wig so she'll be coming too .
If I have the money to get her mask done, I'll try to get Lisa Trevor finished.

I'm MIGHT be going. I've FINALLY heard back from my job placement at the Norfolk Lavender Farm, which I kinda loss in January due to the tumbleweeds rolling past. But I'm working this week and next (okay, so four days, but that's still something!!)

I might be there as well. It depends on what happens in my life. Though I hope this will be as good as Amecon (not been to Aya yet)
If I do make it there, I plan on doing Rosie from Valkyria Chronicle.

Sadly, when my birthday lands means I don't get to do birthday cons anymore. I've had one that landed on my birthday. It was a Doctor Who and it was my 21st. I had Jon Pertwee (the 3rd Doctor) buying my birthday drinks . It was awesome!

I have been getting stupidly excited too! I need to pay for Aya still actually (whooops).

But as I haven't been able to go to either Minami or Kita this year it means I'm all the more revved up for Aya!
It's going to be so great to hang out with everyone for a weekend again, and have lots of fun!

I have gone through so many different cosplay plans and I keep forgetting which ones I am and aren't doing, but I think this is it.

Terence (Tinkerbell Movies), Mytho - Raven Prince (Princess Tutu), Rath (Dragon Knights by Mineko Ohkami) undecided which version SO MANY BEAUTIFUL PICTURES!, some form of prince outfit maybe for a group which has lots of fairies!

I feel like there was more, but drawing a blank for now!

Eee can't wait! and so looking forward to everyones cosplays!

I haven't registered, but its on my to-do list for when I get back from DisneyWorld in May.

I'm going to be cosplaying, but it'll probably be comfy-Con for me. Fawn from Tinkerbell and March from Eternal Sonata I hope.

If there's a ball, I may make another original dress thing. But cosplays are set for Fawn and March. I don't understand the people who wear two or three in one day... you spend more time changing, than cosplaying.

I'm doing Alois (from Kuroshitsuji), Buttercup (from the Powerpuff Girls Z), bringing Harley Quinn (from Batman Arkham Asylum) if she's done in time, and if I'm very very lucky, some form of gijinka Toothless (from How To Train Your Dragon). Or if I don't get him finished, Hiccup.

Why do I set myself stupid goals?

Still, Alois is finished, bar getting a new coat, Harley's half-done, and I have a pattern for Buttercup.

Definately heading to Aya11, second Ayacon can't wait. Been itching to start costumes lately but everything else is sorted.

The hardest would be Pachurisu, need to design and work a way around that tail! Somehow I got roped into it as my best friend is going as Dawn so I needed to be a pokemon...
