hey ^^
im trying to work out the name of a fabric ive seen used on some costumes!
its mainly used for small details i think. i thought it may have been PVC, but at touch it feels alot thinner?

the only way i can think to describe it is a shiny, flexible almost plastic fabric? possibly even leather?
if anyone could suggest something this could be id be really greatful!

Hmmmm possibly pleather or leatherette?

Maybe it's very thin vinyl. Not sure if there's a special name for it.

It looks a lot like pleather, the leatherette I bought from Fabric Land is rather thicker and not as shiny. Bought some pleather and there's a slight sheen to it (compared to leatherette) and it's slightly thinner but thicked than PVC.

(I never knew there was a difference between leatherette and pleather until today LOL!)

EDIT: You can get different quality PVC, because I'm using two different types of PVC, one thicker than the other. Hope that helps??

It's pretty much just bad pvc. The thinner it is the lower the quality because it wrinkles more.

PVC/Leatherette/vinyl/pleather are all made from the same thing, just with different textures added to them.
