im a first time cosplayer and i need a helping hand or even just some one to bounce ideas off so if you are a cosplayer in swindon who is on a decent level weird with a hint of geekitude speak up

That would be great but its hard to decide a place. I would suggest swindon by the name of this forum. Its not hard to get trains or buses there, but that might exclude people who live further away in wiltshire?

We will just have to nag them into coming! Personally I live in Marlborough so its easypeasy to get to Swindon and I regularly go to the Trowbridge area to see my boyfriend so could do a kind of pick up for cosplayers in that area. Just depends if there are many interested or not. Might put a thread up on the MCM forums about it at some point ^^

Thats super. It would be good to use STEAM and the designer outlet center all the old trains and things in there would look great for photos of cosplayers. maybe later on the meet could move round to the link center. Beacuse Lazerquest is just the most awesome place when you are in cosplay.

this would be an awesome thing to do but thing is i dont drive so it would have to be somewhe bus accessable

its why i'm suggesting these places they are bussed frequently. i don't drive either.

so we need to identifiy a place thats at least easy for all the non drivers to get to

In Malmesbury, there's a few cosplayers here (well I know of like...4 of us) but we can get to Swindon really easily

There is a big park in swindon we could have a cosplay meet up! or if people want to meet in normal clothes we could go laser questing/bowling etc!

Oh how awesome i havent got a costume yet and i wont for some time in depserate need of a job and im actually using the mcm expo may convention to give me a kick up the backside also im not a very confident guy while im hoping cosplay can give me a bit of confidence im just kind of testing the water at the moment trying to talk to more experienced cosplayers see the pros and cons i understand you have to be thick skinned when around the normies but a meet sounds pretty cool

Yeah that sounds pretty cool now i just need to use my powers of persuasion to get my parents to take me there
