Newbie
I'm new to cosplay but ive been wanting to do one for ages now.
I need some advise on what would be a good way to start, with something easy but recognisable.

What sort of things do you like? Any anime or games you are into? It's best to pick a charecter you want to do, rather than going,"what's easiest?" You'll find you have more motivation and the cosplay is more important to you.

You've got too options - 1: buy cheap clothes and modify them; 2: start from scrath with fabric. I prefer option 2, but not everyone is comfortable with leaping straight on a sewing machine. Working with premade clothes give you a good opertunity to see how they are put together, which can sometimes make things easier to understand than a pattern.

Best thing to do is to go away and think about what you want to do, then let us know and we can give you some tips on how to start. Shonen jump series often have fairly easy costumes to pull off as a first attempt, but don't be afraid to consider something more adventurous.
