Suggestions for better privacy/friend features
I don't know if this is being looked into or not, but I think CI needs more options for privacy.

For example, if you don't want a certain person looking at your profile/costumes for whatever reason, or you don't want them to post, or you want to block them from PMing you.

I've not seen any options like that on there. I know we can report to you or another moderator, but it'd be good to just be able to block them if wanted.

I also think it needs a proper friend feature. Right now it's just like Twitter. You select someone to follow them really. Not trying to nitpick, I just thought it'd be a few things I'd suggest that could be considered?

Data privacy is certainly an issue for online networks which is why we give everyone the option to hide their contact details, age etc from people who aren't their friends - and we don't require real names to set up an account.

The community has grown a lot, but the main point of this site is to display a portfolio as such of UK cosplayers. Similar to Deviant Art, Cosplay.com, when you upload an image of your costume, you are allowing the public to view it. To lock it down so that only your friends can see your photos (you'd have to do this, as if the person you blocked just logs out, their 'block' wouldn't count) goes against the point of this site slightly. We've never intended to support private content for costumes I'm afraid.

You can moderate comments on your costumes, but if there is someone that is causing you upset on here, please do report it to myself or another moderator. If someone is doing something malicious, creating multiple accounts would just get around the block anyway? We really can't stress enough, we don't allow abusive behaviour on here and will investigate anything highlighted to us. We shall look into whether it's possible to block PMs from a certain user though.

Do you have any ideas for improving the friends feature? Or anything that you would really like to be able to do/see with it?
