Hi everyone. Ever had a cosplay ambition. Would you like to see it achieved.

I have some cosplay ambitions that I would love to try for and wondered if you guys did as well.

It can be anything from a dream photo shoot to a cafe trip in costume. Be interesting to see what you guys have and lets see if we can help each other out to achieve these.

Mine are;
*Managing a tasteful pairing photo shoot. I never really manage to find someone who's willing to join me on this. I did have a couple of cosplay pairings once but never really managed a photo shoot.

*Doing a music video in costume. There are actually plans for this.

*Going to a beautiful location abroad and managing take some costume photos.

*A complete Fellowhsip from Lord Of The Rings. In all the years I've cosplayed as Legolas I have never been part of a full Fellowship. It would be nice to achieve it. Especially this year as LOTR celebrates its 10th anniversary.

*Doing an even more epic Trinity Blood group shoot.

*Getting better at wig styling. Getting more used to wearing wigs.

*Doing a full Malfoy family portrait. I've only been with a full Malfoy family the once and we totally forgot to actually take any family photos. It would nice to do and then turn them into a painting.

*Creating an original fairy costume for scratch that is beautiful.

*Learning more armour techniques.

Hi,
Mine are just to finish a cosplay itself.I kept saying I would do one but motivation was so low I put it off.
Also would like to do a good photo shoot of Lenneth when she is complete.
And make wings for Lenneth too.
I try not set things to many things for me cause I get to messed up and end up putting things off.

I don't how possible this is for you, but try finding a cosplay partner. This may not nesiccarily be someone you make the cosplay with (or even cosplay with), but someone you can talk to about it and get excited about it with.
When I first started cosplay (and to a far smaller extent now), my mum made my cosplays with me and taught me how to sow and use patterns. She was the brain behind how to make the patters for some of my costumes. Though she's not as involved as she used to be in my cosplays (I now just run to her if I need confirmation that I'm not going to destory the world if I do something or if I need help on something), I think there's still a part of my mum that finds cosplaying intrighing.
However, I also now have I friend that I go to cons with and she also cosplays. Though she lives a few hours away, and we don't necessarily cosplay the same series together, we talk about our cosplays and get excited about them. We discuss our progress and what problems we may have/encounter. I sometimes send her photos asking for her opinion. It just helps keep my enthusiasm on the costume and making it. Cosplaying is not only more fun with people when you are actually doing it, but also when making them.
As I sai, I don't know how much it effects you, but I though I'd throw it in there anyway.

My current cosplay ambitions would be to:

- Make my dream costume of Sera Myu Eternal Sailor Moon and join a Myu group and to do a masquerade performance.
This might be coming true anyway, since a friend that I always meet up with at Expo wanted to go to Amecon at the same time I'm going (coincidence) and she wants to do the Outer Senshi in Myu style so we might be doing this if our costumes get completed :3

- To produce good photos in a photoshoot rather than having plain photos taken.

- Become better at sewing to produce nicer costumes

Mine would be masquerading Utsuho Reiuji to her theme music.

Also cosplaying an Umineko character in Kyu Furukawa gardens.

Full Scarlet Devil Mansion group would be epic. Or full Subterranian Animism cast.

Aswell as the Rozenkreuz Orden.

I'd like to do a steampunk shoot in some pretty locations too.
And an actual pairing shoot would be win.

Also most of all. Lucifer and the 7 great Satans from Angel Sanctuary.

- I'm always trying to improve on my cosplay photography skills. I can usually come up with some good ideas for settings, character poses and compositions, but I need to learn more about the camera settings side of things.

- I cosplay as Tamaki and although I've managed to get a few pictures with some other Ouran cosplayers I've never been able to have any photoshoots with the complete cast of characters, so that is something that I've always wanted to do ^_^

Get to the point where I can confidently cosplay characters like Saten and Adam Blade from Needless. This won't happen for another year or two at least and will require lots of hard work.

Attend a cosplay party where everyone is in a masked cosplay and real identitys unknown; an actual masquarade party.

I'd really love to do more out of con location shoots. I've only really done one proper one and I loved the results so much i'd love to do more. It's nice just to be able to focus on the photos and not worry about the time too much. (That makes me sound like i'm taking them...definately not! XD) I always see places I think would be perfect for such and such a series so i'd love to really be able to take advantage of that!

My other ambition is a particular dream cosplay music video which only two other people know about...XD But this is happening this year! I will make it happen! XD

Also i'd love to take part in an omake skit...I'm yet to do one and I love acting. ^^; My standards are pretty high though so i'd have to really believe in it!

-Actually organise a shoot that works (Cons not included) of all characters from a same series
-Take lots of group photos and record videos good enough to go online
-Go to Alnwick Castle to take photos in Harry Potter cosplay with a group
-Complete more cosplays including more of my own work rather than just buying online.
-Perform in a masquerade once I've made my own cosplay fully that I'm happy with.

Aaaah, soo many D>:

- Go to Pierrefonds/Forest of Dean/Puzzle Wood and have a good 'Merlin' based photoshoot at an actual location
- Perform in a masquerade that isn't just a walk on
- Finish a costume waaay in advance so I'm not still sewing the evening before I have to wear it. . .

* A big Lord of the Rings group

* Photo shoots at nice locations with other people (not even necessarily from the same show/game/whatever, just to have fun together while taking good photos/having good photos taken). Love this but have had very few opportunities to do so; don't have the time to organise something and don't know people near where I live. So if anyone ever wants to meet up? *hint hint* ;p

* Sell costume bits and pieces I've made. Not just for the money, but for being able to make things to a standard other people are willing to pay money for (or that I would be willing to pay money for)..

Mine would be to make my dream Cosplay of Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose, and take part in a Kuroshitsuji or Utena music video :3 Those are mine atm ^^

- (as with a lot of others) Have more photoshoots, proper ones. They're epic fun and the results are much better than the pictures you get at expo

- Open a commission business type thing. The main reason I love cosplaying is because I love to sew. I don't have enough money to be constantly sewing for myself so would quite happily be making them for other people, only I'm not sure where to start. I don't think I'm established enough is the cosplay community yet.

- Find a group to cosplay with/branch out into more series. The second should come with the first, and is hard to do without the first (because I like to be with people from the same series) but the second is more what I would like. I'm working on it, slowly

I have quite a few ambitions for the future - just can't seem to achieve them now as I have been quite busy recently -

* arrange a cosplay group from a certain series
* attend more events and meet more cosplayers in person
* not be too afraid to join cosplay groups
* make a damn prop! >.< (I always avoid them cos I'm too afraid to create one...)

I would love to do that. That would be epic.



This is a very good idea. When I first started I costumed with my brother. We kept each other excited about each others costume projects even though they were quite often not related. I have had various cosplay mates who do help out an encourage.



Oh yes!! IT WILL BE DONE!!!! This would be so awesome.

It's been my dream for so long now, and I don't think it will ever be fulfilled orz.
So my mini-dream which is a bit more achievable is to just get a full La Corda group... Still pretty damn hard!

* Make a massive prop all on my own. Just one to say I've made one.
* Make a costume perfectly fully lined and everything. I'm just, too lazy, and make too many costumes at once so can't really afford lining orz. I'm planning on doing this for one of the many school uniforms I've got planned though so hopefully this can be ticked off sometime! Maybe Vampire Knight or Code Geass, not too sure yet!
* Make something extroadinarily pretty... Like a fairy! Lots of glitter and sparkles!!

* Make something involving a fake beard/moustache (LOL, complete oxymoron to the above much??)
* Finish a Trinity Blood costume.
* Make a Sailor senshi costume.
* Get better at photoshop for cosplay photography. I don't do much on photoshop, but I'd like to do more to make my photos prettier because they're pretty plain at the moment!
* Get good enough at costume making to be able to sell my costumes rather than just chucking them away because they're too crap for others to buy xD (Well, I wouldn't want to sell them because I think they suck D; )
* React an animated music video into a cosplay one!
* Choreograph my own dance for a character to perform. I am working on this, I'm working on several actually but my choreographing skills suck XD
* Repicture an artbook image at least once perfectly, I don't care what, I just want to do it! xD

It would! If all else fails though, we can always pin our hopes on the Return to Middle Earth con

-To wear a FULL cosplay at a cosplay ball during a convention. I wore a wig in the past with a nice dress but being in actual cosplay for this sounds so nice.

-To complete cosplays earlier so I dont have to panic about time and money.

-To create or be part of a cosplay music video. They look so much fun and Ill be up for lip syncing! Ill be happy to be part of any kind of cosplay video actually

-Be part of more organised photoshoots. I really want more photos!

-More crossplays

-Photoshoot abroad!

~ Complete my Dead Fantasy Rinoa cosplay to a good standard. I want epic wings!

~ I really want some good pairings photos of Selphie & Irvine, Rinoa & Squall, Kairi & Sora and Claire & Steve.

~ Make Kairi's keyblade and have a photo shoot with other KH cosplayers before I retire her.

~ Photos of Selphie in the snow. With Irvine's hat. lol

~ Getting together a group consisting of the entire S.T.A.R.S. Alpha and Bravo team from Resident Evil would be awesome.

- Make Link's Zora armour from Twilight Princess or a general Zora costume and have a photoshoot out in the country somewhere like High Force or Aysgarth Falls. Although my lack of competence would mean it would be much easier to find a Zora Link cosplayer and a small army of Zora and me be the photographer, heh. But regardless, I think that would be one amazing photoshoot...and more of a dream than an ambition.

- Alice in Wonderland photoshoot at Forbidden Corner.

- If I ever make it to New Zealand for that working holiday, find other LOTR cosplayers and arrange a series of shoots at some of the movie's locations (Lothlorien, mainly).

- Regain lost skills as far as sewing, etc. are concerned, and learn new ones.

- Become better at photography. This also means getting a better camera .

- Have a go at a crossplay.

- Make Jill Valentine's battlesuit. I have the same colour hair as her in RE5, same length and it's a very similar style and no matter how much I want to change, I'm not doing it until I've done that outfit.

- And finally, meet more people who are actually into cosplay.

Man these are the points I forgot and could so relate to! Thanks for pointing them out! ^^

- I so do wanna try and build a prop for something - like achieve to make a weapon for some character - I personally feel it makes you cooler and you can get into character better XD

- I so wanna make something like a big ball gown dress for a character like Belle from Beauty and the beast as I think that'll be a tough but expensive challenge ^^ sounds rather girly here but it's like a dream for me to be able to walk around in a proper ballgown that I made XD

- I so wanna get better to do something like selling costumes one day but as I'm still amateurish with my sewing skills, it'll have to wait

and aww, your stuff doesn't suck! I'd be happy to buy a costume off you like your wonderful Princess garnet dress or Haine's ball gown! It's pretty damn amazing work X

My cosplay ambitions change very regualarly, apart from the general ones of always improving my cosplays so they're frickin' amazing, properly complete my cosplays and do allt he ones I want to do.

I also want to make a youtube slideshow for fantastic UK cosplays. I'm bored of seeing loads of 'best cosplay' videos that are filled with asians. I know there are vidoes with great western cosplays, but it's such a small amount. Besides, we have some amazing cosplays right here in the UK and it'd be great to give tribute to them.

Would love to finally find people who want to do a Harry Potter spoof, we started three so far and always someone dropped out, the film got deleted by accident or technical error... so they never been finished.

Also a photoshoot with other characters, family etc would be great...had one with death eaters and a few solo ones but it would be fantastic to have some with other HP cosplayers.

That's mainly it really at the moment

- Zombie Loan Group. owo Would seriously love to see this happen. <3 I've been wanting to organize one for ages, but seeing how many people actually know about this, it makes me think that it's never going to happen.

- Preform Yuna's Real Emotion concert at an MCM at some point. I've learnt the dance to a certain point. Would LOVE to do this sometime. :3

- Complete all (excluding the Dark Knight Dressphere) of Paine's dresspheres. Yes. Even the Full Throttle one. =.= Jeez I'm so dead with that costume I can.

- Cut down my list of 93 costumes to a more reasonable amount of characters that I'll actually think I'll be able to pull off and actually complete them. Hopefully without buying them. But we'll see. =3

Those are the main ones at the moment. One or Two might change at some point in the future.

I just want to get better, haha. I try to do the best I can with all my costumes, but I always feel there's something missing or lacking from them. Plus I absolutely suck at making props (read: my fingers dislike scissors intensly because of them), and I've never really tried to style any wigs because I'm terrified of screwing it up...

Other than that, just try and do GOOD Final Fantasy costumes and defend the sane part of the fandom. I still hold the small hope that if I do a good job with (even popular) costumes, people won't judge me for liking it. And try and not be so quiet/silly at expos, so I can make some lovely new friends at expo and have a really fun time with them, rather than exchanging a quiet "hi~" and then going our seperate ways.
Also, getting decent pictures of my costumes. I need to persuade my friends to get their cameras out at some point.
