Cosplay Group Names and Such
I saw this on cosplay.com, but I felt like I wanted to put this up here. If you have a cosplay group, what's the group's name and what group cosplays have you done? The group I'm with is 'Down The Rabbit Hole Productions' for now, we may change it. We're doing group cosplays of Hetalia: Axis Powers, Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler), and Kingdom Hearts.

A year ago me and a few friends formed "Team Capu"
Our first group cosplay was Rosario + Vampire which we're returning with at May Expo. We were ment to do a Digimon cosplay last expo but unfortunately it fell through early in the year >^<

My friends and I just sorta' group together and cosplay, we don't have a 'group name' XD Plus then, without it being under a set group name, theres so real responsibilities resulting in less stress, more fun XD Iduno..
I'm sometimes asked to fill in a character for 'Cumph Cosplay' but I'm not actully part of that..
Yeahhhh

I'm not a member of any Cosplay group, although I certainly wouldn't turn down an invitation! I have however heard of many different ones! They seem like a a good time to me.

we keep talking about starting a group but then we think...whats the point? I mean it really dosent enhance what we are doing all it does is group you in with a number of people. I dont know mabye if we start actually producing things like videos and such it will be inevitable to make a group ^.- till then!

Very good point! I suppose I always figured the main reason behind group names and groups themselves were so you could have some sort of group pride. Like for instance people knowing your group for it's cosplays, but I suppose again people could just as easily be remembered for their individual costumes!
This certainly seems a tricky one

I'm sort of part of a group more accident rather than design. We kept doing Trinity Blood costumes together so I set up a groups page on Deviantart under the name 'Trinity Albion'. Now I've opened to page up to all as we haven't done a group thing for a while. Might all come back together for Code Geass though

I like the Down the Rabbit Hole Productions one. 8D It's original and cool. Keep that one.
Uhh... I used to be in two cosplay groups, but both failed due to little meetups and yeah.
It was RoboticFruit (which was Raspberry, Lemon and Strawberry. See a pattern?) which was back in our Death Note obsessed days (psh. like I'm not obsessed now...)
CrumpetCosplays, was a big group of us that were all gonna do lots of different big group cosplays, we were gonna have a huge Vocaloid photoshoot but again, due to everyone not getting organised, failed too...
Not quite the same, but I'm in a dance group that does like. J-pop and K-pop dances on YouTube. Which is NjiroMizugashiPOP (Yes we mispelt Nijiiro... Not on purpose. xD) which means RainbowColouredFruitPOP. XD The pattern continues...
I'm in another dance group called Mattaku Kotonatte... We danced on stage at October Expo~ It means Worlds Apart, as we're all from different areas, a couple from Newcastle, some from Somerset, London, Leeds... Allover England. And I'd met like. One of em before, at a previous Expo, but everyone else I met on the day or the day before. We had like. 2 hours beforehand to practise, so scary xD...
But yeah. Lots of different group names etc. ;D
I may attempt to set up a cosplay group for YouTube videos and skits etc... -goes to bug my friends-

I'm part of Insomniatic Cosplay, but when it comes to cosplaying, I think the group name is purely just something to put ourselves under when it comes to entering masquerades or otherwise. We do a big group cosplay together every so often, with last year being Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy VIII this year and then a Disney Princess group later this year as well.

As I said, for me, the name just feels like something to introduce ourselves as when it comes to entering competitions. It's not like we don't cosplay with other people or only keep to ourselves. It's a cosplay group with my best friends but when it comes to huge group cosplays, we don't do one for every single event we attend because someone is always going to get stuck with characters they don't want to be from a series they don't enjoy... and eventually that's just going to take the fun out of it.

Yup I agree! I'm part of TeamPiC (Team Political Incorrectness) But it's really just a group name for fun and for our video projects. It's nothing formal like 'Right we're doing this series here are the characters available.' We just kinda fall into roles and it happens. XD No bad blood or anything if we want to do groups with other people as well...

I think it's best to be casual else it all becomes too serious and things fall apart...imo anyway!

Cosplay group
Our cosplay group Called RamenDoodles Cosplay was orginally a little gang in school where we'd hang out in the library and look through others cosplay picture.
Originally we 'called' our selves the cosplay appreciators, and changed out unofficial name a load of times to things like the cosplay nerds of ecco. we only really made it official last year when we decided that we wanted to cosplay ourselves. and seeing as we already had a 'group' we just gave ourselves a name, ranging through things like SaikouCosplayers, CrazyCosplay and DattebaneCPgroup. we settled on RDC because it shortens easily and doesnt suggest anything about what we cosplay, or the sort of people we are.
looking back, we were pretty geeky kids, but i've gotta say that the hours we spent hiding away in the library and media suite were the best hours i spent in that hellhole of a school.
Our first cosplay... is a mix of Naruto, Harry Potter, and Death Note.

we leave you with our catch phrase
"Be cool, Be a nerd"

Me and some friends that have cosplay meets together and stuff have a group now called 'Mix Cosplay Inc.'

We don't really have any group cosplays and I'm not sure if we ever will. As the name suggests, we all cosplay from different series. ^^

Me and my friends are in a group called Drake's Army (full name: Sir Drake's Army of Cosplayers) xD
We chose it because of where we live. We only decided to name ourselves as a joke, but its sort of stuck.

My friends n I had been considering a new cosplay group title for a while and we fiiiinally made our DA account, our group is Blood/Sugar but due to DA not liking symboles we had to call ourselves Blood Sugar Cosplay on it xD. The title is due to the fact that we do Gore and Cute cosplay but tbh we'll cosplay anything we like~ lul

I'm not part of a cosplay group, but I wouldn't think twice about accepting an invitation into one. Its pretty cool to read about the cosplay groups that you guys all have, and I love all of the names!

DressedUpSanity is my group, but we normally shorten it to DUS.

Honestly, group names are pretty hard to come up with >.< We just went with the first thing that sounded good~!

We do a lot of group cosplays, but mostly it's just nice to be in a group with friends, imo.

25 May 2011 - 02:4157586
i'm sorting my own cosplay group hopefully shortly

not got a name for it, but will be vocaloid and randomness >3

i can't wait to confirm group will happen ^^;

same here. Our group The Phoenix *kuro fans will get it* jst kinda formed cos we all seemed to cosplay together and do similar things for the past year anyways so it was kinda.. we may as well just form a group. It's still laidback, we don't always cosplay together or even go to the same cons. We made our own deviantart page though as it seemed to mkae sense to showcase our pictures together rather then all on our seperate deviantart pages.

25 May 2011 - 08:2557590
Don't strictly have a 'cosplay group'. But the group of friends that I hang out with primarily at cons are called "Random Accent", because we're literally from all over the UK! Manchester, London, Newcastle, Birmingham etc. (being very general with places in case any of them are annoyed at revealing hometowns LOL)

So when we speak, we all have different accents, hence...Random Accent ^_^

A bunch of friends and I have a kinda group called "The BananaCheesecakePieSquad" and when we did group cosplays we'd use that to introduce ourselves in masqs. But since most of the others do other cosplays now and we rarely do giant groups, it's kinda fallen apart D: plus I keep forgetting to update, baaaaah.
