Most party/costume shops stock a wide range of generic wigs at affordable prices. If you can't find exactly what you're after style wise, buy a wig that is longer than the character's hair and trim and style it. Colour wise I'm not too sure though. Apparently spraying a wig with a coloured spray isn't the best option as it's weak and comes out quickly. I have heard that you can take a sharpie marker pen and colour in a wig. Can anyone confirm this is I may need to do it for an upcoming cosplay?
Hi Sam!
I've tried this on an old wig I'm never going to use again and It seems to work but depending on the quality of the material It might look too stuck together and not flow very well.
I also tried this technique for when I was feeling lazy and needed to have black insets in the middle of some orange fur and CBA sewing in panels and again it looked ok but was too shiny for what I wanted so ended up sewing panel in the end ¬_¬ That'll teach me.....
