Set a goal and get there together!
Some of us have goals to do, and most of us procrastinate like its our full time job to put things off.

So let me hear your goals, this could be anything like finishing a cosplay, getting in shape, saving money etc. put down how you're going to do it, weekly/daily/fornightly/monthly and lets see if you can update it too.

Its difficult when you feel like you're on your own, which is why I think it'd be a good idea to do it together :3

I'll start off with something simple for myself;

By KitaCon I'd like to bulk up by 1 stone and be able to add another 20% onto my existing weight training set.

I'll have to add another 5% every 3-4 weeks and really eat higher quality foods instead of junk. I didn't think I ate a lot but after a week's food diary, its quite a lot ¬_¬


We'll all have different goals, and some of us will get there faster than others so any competition will be friendly. I hope to find positive encouragement for you all ^_^

If you don't reach these goals, don't be unhappy. Its better to be unhappy if you do reach those goals; because you didn't set the bar high enough.

For kitacon I want to slim to a size 12 - or until my legs are really nice and slender ;p

Also, I want to save money for Uni. From NOW ON, I shall put every other week's pay in my saving account.

I want to slim down for my mashiro kuna cosplay.....I'm size 12 but to be honest my thighs.....no more need to be said!!! but i'm going to do it by may!!! ^.^


And for gaining muscle, try whey protein? if you don't already have something ^^ (i work in holland and barrett so know it's pretty good according to customers)

Hmm... need to lose weight on my thighs and bulk up stomache/arm muscle by may for Litchi and Kamina...

Have kept a food diary myself over the past two weeks or so and worked out percentages of what i eat is about 12% protein, 18% carb, 30% fruit and 40% sugar...

Not all that balanced, but then again I only eat about a meal a day.

Ah well, winters the best time to start more excersise isn't it? xD

I want to lose some weight in time for Kitacon but have wanted to for a while but now I have a goal and I want to be able to pull off Seto Kaiba...^_^ I have a long way to go

But I have started to watch what I eat and do more exercise ^_^

My ultimate goal is to be finally happy with how I am and look, which seems really really...vain. :/
I'm just sick of being unhappy and down about myself and never having a positive thought.

I plan to do it in a few ways:

I want to slim down to a size eight and not be this stupid in-between size anymore. It makes me uncomfortable because half the time I've no idea if I've lost weight or put it on because I can fit into two sizes. I'd like to get to a size, keep it and be happy and healthy.

Clear my skin. Which I'm currently doing. I'm on Differin gel and Tetralysal to help. So far its not(which is getting me down), but I'm hoping to be put onto Roaccutate. I've tried lots of ways and medications to clear my skin and my doctor has finally been able to help me find a dermatologist to help push things along with getting my skin the way it should be. So heres hoping I get an appointment soon. Go team!

Sort my negativity about myself out. I'm very negative about myself and I let people talk over me and speak for me around others. I'm going to stop that happening and try and be more positive about myself.

Good luck with your goals everyone! Its time to kick ass and chew bubblegum! If you're all out of gum, chew small animals! D:< Raawr!

I'd like to sound very schoolchild and just hope that I can pass all my exams. ;_; Mocks they may be, but I'd still like to be able to do well... especially by the end of the year, I want to pass French with a C or above. I will get back to GRINDIN MAH NOSE against the stone or whatever that expression is in a little while though, after three nonstop hours of work I think I need something to eat X_x

I'd also like to be able to continue writing this damn book thing that I tried doing for NaNoWriMo. Writer's block hits at the most inconvenient times. Failing that, I'd like to continue or start a story/fanfic that I'm superhappy with.

Oh yeah, and it'd be nice to be able to get through all of next years cosplay plans without my head and wallet exploding, but we'll see how that one goes.

I would chew small animals but I'd get in trouble for not killing them first, what can I say; I'm impatient at times.

There's all great goals set here, I wanna know how you plan to do it. After all, advice is a secondary factor of this thread, it's down to you for the effort and how go about doing it.

And if your plan doesn't work, you can rest assured knowing that you found out yourself. I personally hate "what ifs"

Above all, be happy about what you're doing, don't think about it as chore but rather a flaming rocket punch in the face of negativity!

If anyone needs positive encouragement or advice on motivation/getting things done, I'll always have time, or make time for ya ^^ post here or PM me. Making things happen (often against the odds) is what I do for a living, and I don't mind sharing what I know with you ;D

Edit: And if you all reach your goals by Kitacon, I'll buy you all a round for celebration!

I didn't say it had to be alcholic, if it was I'd be excluding the under 18's from the little "Yeah go us!" get together.

There's the expo too, if you can make that. Ozzie, I will buy you a coffee and a doughnut! A DOUGHNUT! It will be yours, reach deep into yourself and say you will do what you need to do, you will move mountains and crush the sun within your grasp! Forge into battle with zeal as your shield, determination as your sword, diligence for your steed and hope as your hairspray.. because you gotta look fabulous in battle, y'know.

What I'm getting at is it'd be nice if we had a little celebration at the end of this as something to look forward to (on top of the self satisfaction of hitting your targets, of course)

My main goal at the moment is converting my garage into a big sewing room ... only I could pick something like this to do in minus temperatures O_o

I also want to start eating ALOT healthier .. as I seem to be living off chips and chocolate at the moment

I make it my goal to make myself a sammich in 5 mins.
... I actually did just go make myself a sammich because I've been craving one now... And we have no bread, woe is me D'8

By early/sometime next year I hope to fix my stupid sleep patterns and actually sleep x'D. College nights I go to bed around 1ish nowerdays and on weekends I go to bed around 4am orz. I love sleep, but I hate missing out on stuff so I stay awake anyway. I want to become a morning person!

By January I also want to be looking at 2hrs revision and 1-2hrs violin practise a night, maybe except Sundays. Otherwise I will never nail these exams D'8

And it'd be nice to lose one dress size by Minamicon so that I'm a 8-10 but we'll see x'D

It's no coincidence ^^ A curse and a blessing really, being so much like Kamina. I'm quite like him, however I can't cosplay him because the line between Kamina and Jae would be somewhat blurred.

Step 2 - How are you gonna do it in manageable parts?
Step 3 - Do it!

Shameless bump for the thread, reminder and an update.

Its been a short while, and in that time I've managed to get an overall increase by 5%. This means that I've been cheating myself of how high my limit was for weight training. I'm upping my target to 25%. The last few increases will be difficult, but I'm prepared to give it everything.

I do hope that you who have posted are going along with your goals and I wish you all the best.

I have two goals.

First is i wanna shape up and slim down by may expo! i want to try and get in shape and have a definite size rather than constantly flicking and finally slim down my thighs o(o3o)b
I need to stop eating more sweets than an army honey-senpais ^^;;

Second is i really really want to save up the money to finally order my Ball Jointed Doll Hazama! i attempted to save over the summer and nearly made it but things happened and i had to use the money for things i wanted to avoid spending it on. BUT I am determind to make the money! i really want to have Hazama before expo if I can so I can bring him along ;A;

I'm not sure if this one's going to work, but I'm going to try honing my voice so I can sound more like characters I plan to cosplay at Kita. Plus it helps with voice acting, so 2 birds 1 stone in the end.

I've decided not to kick alcohol, just stop getting stupidly drunk and learning to say no to strange shots.

Going to switch that to read more books, I've been letting my non-fiction reading slip and getting back into quizzing. I stopped for some reason. I can't remember why.
