I don't know if it is heat resistant or not, but I bought it from Cosplay Wig years ago and generally they can handle a bit of heat (hot water treatment for definite).
But yes it can go up in a ponytail as seen here:

Originally bought for Yuri from Angel Beats! However I decided I want a more purple wig for her so that I can reuse for another cosplay too. Also a good colour for Kairi from KH2, unfortunately I didn't know when to wear her for xD;

Cheeky bump for the manga and games too, they won't be coming with me to Uni so if you want them, grab them (feel free to make me a offer, or to put things on hold as I'll take them with me to Uni whilst you make your decision) otherwise you'll have to wait til Xmas (unless I go back beforehand) to get them.

I forgot to say, I still have the poster that comes with the strat guide but it was once on the wall so it has some obvious wear from where the blu-tac was. Would you still like that as well?

Full Metal Alchemist pocket watch! It's years old but it's in perfect condition except the battery is flat, I'm sure you can change the battery though. Selling because I'm not a massive fan of FMA anymore nor do I really have the intention of cosplaying Ed Elric any more. It still has the protective plastic covers on it :3
