I'm looking for a coat similar to Matt's from Death Note. I'm really just looking to buy one from a clothes store like Primark or Peacocks etc, but if I am really stuck, I could make it.
So, has anyone seen anything like it in any shops? Remember when those types of jackets were all the craze years ago? Haha, I regret not buying one then... xD
Here's a reference picture:

If anyone can help, great!
Or if any other Matt cosplayers have any advice about where they bought/how they made their coat, that would also be appreciated too. ^ - ^

I made mine. Materials Used Fleece Old woolish bathmat Pattern used; http://mccallpattern.mccall.com/m5252-products-4745.php?page_id=115&search_control=display&list=search Same one for Mello ;p After making the basic jacket, I just used a hot glue cun to attach the bath mat. Took about.... A day maybe? Longest part was cutting the fabric, hardest was hemming the sleeves (cause they're always evil. With the off-white bits, you could use fur, but that can be expensive. Luckily, you won't need much. most fabric stores have a minimum amount you have to buy (20cms usually). Alternatively, see if you're local one does strips of fur. It could add up to be cheaper. |
