MAY EXPO 2011 This may be early but due to the medical convention thing...Who would like to share a room?
I know its early, but i've heard that spaces are filling up fast already! I'm booking my room today or tomorow at Travelodge docklands,
Its for 3 people (coin toss for the double bed!) and with late check-out
With Dinner --> it would be £56 so £168.10 in total, if you are interested let me know which would be best for you as i'm booking TODAY or TOMOROW!

Thanks that is all xD

Oh yeah and its for friday 27th to 29th

EDIT!- The room can be for 4 people but two would have to share the double bed if no one minds, plus one person wouldn't have a dinner..... sorry xD i initially thought people wouldn't want to share the bed!

But cost would be lowered to £42 each! so let me know!

Currently in the room- Owls

And there are now only 2 spaces left (if one is willing to share the double)

^^ this is really just a precaution...as i've been told a lot of the closer hotels are being snapped up quickly because of the medical thing, so i thought i'd get on top of things!

It is definitely those dates, Admin confirmed it on the MCM forums, i can't find the thread though.

Amanda, i may take up the offer of sharing, is the docklands travelodge the one when you get on the DLR or is that the city airport one? x

04 Nov 2010 - 07:5744108
You take the DLR from East india ^^ its not very far

Both May and Oct dates for next year are on the Expo's website, front page, on the right hand side.

i cant find any dates for the may expo next year are u sure its on the 27th - 29th

05 Nov 2010 - 18:1444209
I remember seeing them a week before the expo, and again before the changes to the website

Just checked for May, Custom House is fully booked, Novotel is fully booked, PTI want £450 (a price they can shove right up their arses), Ramada ExCel's site is broken, and Ibis is fully booked though after October I wouldn't want to stay there anyway.

wow glad i booked Docklands when i did! I hope everyone else gets a room.....

14 Nov 2010 - 00:1744910
I've been looking where I can, through assorted hotel screenwiper sites and so forth - I worry that I won't be able to find and/or afford to stay anywhere.

The best I can find that is reasonable close is the Travelodge at East India station. A double or Family room will cost £120.60 arriving on the Friday and leaving on the Sunday. Although in October I stayed in Customs House, which was a box room for a double, at least had the convenience of stepping outside and being right next to Expo.

Why did there have to be such a massive event clashing with it that has eaten up all the hotel rooms, like some horrible monster

14 Nov 2010 - 00:2144911
Yea, there is inconvinience, but really what is there to do? Something somewhere always affects the expo be it trains or other events xD we just can't win

14 Nov 2010 - 20:1744952
I can see it having a massive impact on the event. If people can't stay on site they won't go. This is true for myself and many people I know. If a lot of people have this problem then I can promise you there won't be anywhere near 40,000 attendees

Yea, MCM need to do something about this otherwise attendies may only go for one day! and like you said or not at all, and to be honest they can't cancel the event either due to the amount of people i already known to have booked hotels, and the cancelling or change of booking costs a lot of money!

17 Nov 2010 - 12:0745172
I got booked into *SHOCK HORROR* Crowne Plaza. It was nothing, price wise, compared to the PTI. Omg. xD
I can't wait til I'm older so I can go to Expo without parents and share rooms with other cosplayers and make new friends 8'D

21 Nov 2010 - 00:3545453
i've booked into the Etap London Airport

its 8 mins walk from the expo centre but for 4 nights is only £202.

23 Nov 2010 - 11:3445574
hotels
maybe....not sure yet if i am going to stay in a hotel because of the money situation ( I HAVE NONE :'(

i will let you know : )

xx

Hey guys if Anyones still got space I'n there rooms I need somewhere! ^^ it's my first London expo too! Here's my skype if anyone can help! colee_13

I have room in my room at PTI for 3 people.
It'll be £65 each.
All 3 nights, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Let me know if you're interested.
I'm a female, and 20 by the way. xD
Oh and I wouldn't suggest staying with me if you need LOADS of sleep, as I usually have a group that are always up all night.
I'm insomniac so I don't sleep for whole entire Expo weekend. ^_^
I'm using floor space by the way. It's a 4 person room, and I'm fitting 8 people in because it's so expensive. xD

Oh and I'd prefer 16+ to stay with me.

I don't think people are complaining about the prices right now, although it is disgusting.
But that's how the business world goes I'm afraid.
