Evening everyone!
Hiya!!

A few months ago I heard about MCM Expo in London, so I thought I would give it a go, whilst persuading my friend to go.

Needless to say, I had an absolute blast!! The costumes that I saw people in were amazing, and made me wish I was in one myself.

So the bug to get into cosplay has bitten me hard. Unfortunately I have no skill or experience with making things.

I haven't watched anime in years, but would like to dress as computer characters I have loved over the years. I can't explain why, but some of the monsters from the Final Fantasy series call out to me - Moogles, Chocobos and Tonberries.

I am thinking of making a cuddly Moogle, but not sure where to begin, where to get fabrics from, if I want it to be furry or more of a some material like you get on plushies.

Any help...?

Welcome to Cosplay Island!

Glad to see the Cosplay bug has bitten you!

Plenty of Final Fantasy cosplayers around...me included!

As for plushie making etc there are plenty of people who will help you out if you ask around, start up a topic in the forums ^_^

Enjoy your stay!

I made a Cookie Monster outfit for this Expo, you may of seen me, so if you want to know a good fabric website, I can give you the one I got my fur from?

Good to see you enjoyed Expo, it was my first as well and I had a blast.

I did indeed see a Cookie Monster costume - it was during one of the talks by the cosplay area iirc.

A good fur website would be fantastic.

And I would like to thank both of you for the welcome

That's probably the other Cookie Monster, called Shookie. I was wandering about at that time as I do a lot

The one I used is http://www.dalstonmillfabrics.co.uk/
There's a huge range of fur compared to other websites, and very nice fur for that, but I have a feeling they don't always have things in stock.

You're welcome
