Which anime/video game/comic character got you into cosplaying?

Im not sure if there was a character specifically but i guess maybe Cid from Final Fantasy VIII and Wesker (Resident Evil 4 Version) as they were my first cosplays ^_^

Mine was Kairi from kingdom hearts as i was pursuaded into it by friends and i never stopped cosplaying since!

Mine has always been Jaden Yuki because of his carefree nature and the fact I made an actual E-Hero deck. ^^

I would have to say Rinoa Heartilly from FF8 for me ^_^ got caught up in it after that lol

Aerith! Waay back when I was young (Am 23 now ;_; ) when Final Fantasy seven first came out I attempted to dress like her. I bought a cheap red denim jacket and made a badly hand sewn dress and was like "YEAH!!"

She reminded me of my sister which is why I like her so much. I love how gentle and sweet she Aerith is and I really wanted to be like that. I still do actually! 8)

A character didn't really get me into cosplay. When I went to my first con (Amecon 04), I decided to cosplay. I can't remember why, or even how I found out what cosplay was, but I decided that it needed to be done as I was going to a con. :shrug: So I picked my favourite character and discovered that I loved doing it.

Link from the Legend of Zelda (cause when you're six Sonic the Hedgehog is v. hard to do)

The first one that made me want to cosplay is Aries from FF VII, which I still have yet to do. If I ever do her I want to do it from scratch, and I'm not that confident yet. But soon... sooooooon.

The first one I ever did was Rukia from Bleach which was thrown together in less than 24 hours, cost about a tenner and broke one of my teeth.

Chun Li, without a doubt. I don't know why it took me 13 years before I actually made it...

Umm, I can't remember. It was either Garnet (Final Fantasy IX), Hao (Shaman King) or Kikyo (Inuyasha).

I'm pretty sure it was Kikyo actually because she was the first person I ever wanted to cosplay but couldn't do it in the end because I had no idea how to go about doing it! And to this day I still haven't cosplayed Kikyo, I -have- done some form of Inuyasha cosplay though :'D

Also, that might be why I'm always attempting to remake or improve Hao and Garnet haha!

Mine was Colette Brunel from Tales of Symphonia! That game really got me interested in character designs and I adoooore Colette's! She was meant to be my first cosplay, but sadly that didn't happen and I haven't cosplayed her yet...but I think I might be soon~! =3

Freya Crescent from Final Fantasy IX. Even before I started cosplaying, I told myself that one day I would make her costume... and now I have.

Mine was Edward Elric, around 6-7 years ago...and I still cosplay him now. ^_^;;

Lulu from Final Fantasy X even though my first costume was Rinoa from Final Fantasy VIII. Lulu was originally going to be my first costume because I loved her (and I still do) costume. I plan to do her sometime in the future. :3

Well, I always wanted to dress up as Misty from Pokemon when I was, like, 7 or whatever.
But Vincent Valentine is the character that actually made me make a costume.

Well, for me it was actually my brother. For my Dad's 50th he had a fancy dress party. I asked my brother who we should go as and he was just like "Oh, well I've already ordered a Dante outfit for me and a Nero outfit for you."

Not that I minded it at all! I think after that it kind of just stuck. XD

Bear Walken from Gungrave. Although this was a few years ago when I was 21. It didn't really feel right. But it all came together when I cosplays Scar from FMA.

Since then I've revised the cosplay a few times, and perfected the tattoo + application. Lookit my profile page to see the finished outcome ;D

I do enjoy playing Scar, I've done it a good 3-4 times because it just fits so well. Scar is a tanned angry looking powerhouse of awesome. Maybe I'm not as built as the guy, but I'm close enough ;D

I do have to thank someone, and most of you know her. She's the one who really encouraged me in this cosplay, was the Mustang for my Scar and dragged me to the first photoshoot in which she ordered the last pic to be "Right everyone, Jump on Scar". Good times. Thanks JoJo <3, I'm sorry it looks like I'm kicking the crap outta you in all our photos together ;_;

She wasn't my first cosplay, but like a few others Aeris from FFVII was the one who really got me into cosplay. The first costume I ever made from scratch and the first character I had a real passion to cosplay. ^_^ I'll never forget how I felt when I wore the costume for the first time! (As crappy as I think it looks now. )
