Faceless cosplay pictures
Okay, so whats with people posting pictures of their cosplay here and blanking out their faces? I can understand the wanting to remain annonymous and the like, but if that is the case DON'T post pictures of yourself on the internet! It looks really messy and retarded, and it seems like little point in posting your picture to me. /rant

Are you talking about me? O.o The only reason i did it was because my face looked baaad in those photos but i promised some people i would show them the costume. Theres no need to get ranty over it!

Chances are she means mine. I didn't even -want- to make an account, a friend just kept poking me to so I caved. I don't enjoy having pics anywhere where I can't control who can see them, so I posted pictures showing what I -made-. That's my right. It seems I should've steered clear of these sites as I told my friend I wanted to.

Woah! Wait a second. This is the first time i've heard anyone moan about faceless pictures. I can assure you the majority wouldn't have any gripes about them at all. It is your identity after all, and you're totally within your right to do so.

i have to say. why are you moaning about people blanking out their faces. it's not a big deal. having people see you in person is different than posting photos online. thee's nothing wrong with it.

And ~BIG DEEP BREATH~

ok girlies i dont think anyone was ment to be offended by this,

it seems some people find it frustrating to see all the hard work people have put into a costume only to have a blanked out face making the picture look incomplete,
i can see why people dislike it but i also understand why somtimes its preferable to blank out faces,

i have had several photos where i have had a spot on picture of a cos pre-con, but am pulling the most rediculus face so i'll blank it out or crop the photo,

pictures get replaces all the time so should you see a costume that you like but the pic hac a face missing, just hold on a bit, i'm sure there will be more "posed" photos to come, or if not then its up to the person the photo is of...

showing your work and showing your face are 2 different things and if somone wishes to remain anon then its their call

now i expect group hugs and cake all round or i'll put you all on the naughty step,

Love you (please dont beat me)

I just think it seems a little silly as it ruins the point of the hard work people have put into making their costume to blank out the face. When you look at the picture all you can see is the big ugly photoshopped bit, which is depressing.

Everyone has icky pictures of themselves, I have tons! You all shouldn't be afraid to post pictures showing what you look like, be proud of who you are and what you have achieved.

I don't know about anyone else but mine were just put up there for the time being! I'm going to replace them with nice photos when I get the chance. ^_^;;

Many people are too scared to post any pictures which may look bad because of that site : s i know we're not meant to care and they bash everyone anyway but thats just how loads of people feel~
But i can totally understand both sides of the conversation here~

WE ARE ANONYMOUS. WE ARE LEGION.
XD

Anyway, people have the right to protect their identity, you should not go into a rant about it ruins photos, as you do not have the right to do so.

Personally there are times when I think my face has ruined the hard work of my costume.

Also some people have done commissions and the person wearing the costume may not consent to having their face on the internet.

Really, how a person displays their photos is entirely up to them.

LOLS at this thread
ok before i get spam to death this is just my opinion guys ^_^

Ok i can totally understand about people wanting to hide there identity from the Internet but what are you going to do when you turn up for a con or photo shoot, wear a mask XD or photoshop out ever pciture so no one knows who you are?
Also hiding your face will make the people on the internet want to find your identity out even more its twisted like that "cough 4chan!"

I understand it all most impossible to get a good picture first time unless your a pro and have amazing makeup and what not but every one has bad pictures i mean ever one its just on of those thing ever one has to deal with.

But you get over the really bad pictures i promise ^_^

I have no problem with people hiding there identity just seams really pointless to me.
i feal in doing this it will detract away from the hard work you put into your costume.

eh? what person gets over bad photos of them selves? I know i never will ^^
Plus i donno if it detracts from the hard work of your cosplay, i mean if someone put on a really silly face *sticking tougue out n' all * surely that would distract more from the costume? XD
To be honest i feel it does not matter. Its upto the individual person.
