my first cosplay was pretty much a closet cosplay of yachiru from bleach, and the wig was a horrible £3 wig from smiffy >.<
was my first time at london expo..and for some reason people actually liked this cosplay!

My Miku one was the worst - the wig completely ruined it. The costume itself is amazing (I bought it) but I was such a cosplay newbie I hadn't a clue what to do with anything so I just... idk...

And thank you all cosplayers, for making something as truly Epic as Cosplay is.

It was because of you people that I stayed with cosplay.
Yup! I had a dark time, thinking about quiting, going back to doing nothing but watch T.V all day. yeah XD

I think the important thing that comes out of this thread is how vital it is not to take yourself too seriously. At the end of the day we're all just enthusiastic amateurs and we're all going to produce something shonky while we're still learning the ropes. The important thing is to recognise your earlier weaknesses, figure out how you can do things better, and you can only improve from there.

And then if you do catch anyone taking the mick out of an old, crappy costume of yours (as I have done with Shinobu), you can at least laugh along with them and say "god, yeah, that was rubbish, wasn't it?" XD

Haha, My Naruto was my bad costume.
I bought online it was too big for me, so it bagged down.
But all the same, I loved that costume. Lots of laughs and memories from That cosplay that I'll never forget XD
But all the same, it was fun ^0^
